Ultimate edition of the action adventure from director Zack Snyder, featuring 30 minutes of additional footage. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill star as the eponymous superheroes in this sequel which follows on from the events in 'Man of Steel' (2013). Concerned that Superman (Cavill)'s powers may get out of hand if he isn't kept under control, vigilante Batman (Affleck) leaves Gotham City for Metropolis where the two heroes find themselves in a head-to-head battle. Meanwhile, a terrifying evil threatens the safety of the human race. Will Batman and Superman be able to defeat their common enemy and save the day? The film also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Released: 01/08/2016

3D version also available @ £16.78 and 4K @ £19.98.

Best pre-order price for this as of yet.

So as you probably know this film hasn't exactly been given the best endorsement by critics. However some claim to have seen the Ultimate Edition and it being an improvement over the theatrical release of the film. Which is good news in my books.

They look like trick or treat goers
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me...

Seen it already.
Sadly one of the worse films ever, though good price for a new release.

Still a dreadful and disappointing film.

Really enjoyed it, Cheers op.
Another franchise in the making, heated for price though
So much wrong with this film, just a complete mess imo (and that cover? BvS yet WW is front and centre ... smh)

Awful movie
If there's a 5hr version similar to the Watchmen Ultimate cut it may actually improve the film. As it stands an extra half hour would probably be just to add in the extra franchise opportunity they couldn't pack in at the cinema, hence Wonder Woman on the cover
Actually it sounds like the longer version is a much better film:

(Spoilers at the link, obviously.)
30 mins less and I might just bite*

*I'm joking, this film is awful, and I've seen Green Lantern
I think I'd even consider watching Die Hard 5 (shudder) again before this turd, at least that film is only 98 mins long and I can laugh at it... Batman v Superman I found to be a miserable ordeal I've no notion of repeating!
Big Batman fan so certainly biased but it was not a "dreadful" film. Disjointed yes but not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I saw it once at the cinema and again recently. Looking forward to the Ultimate Version.
Does the "Ultimate Edition" come with any form of a logical plot?
Go buy the dark knight trilogy instead

or an extra half hour of Bruce Wayne's nightmares
Batman V Superman V My freakin' sanity.
Is there not a 3D, 2D and 4K blu ray option?

How about an option to add back the colour they took out of the movie? For one with superheroes I've never seen anything so grey, drab and miserable...
Is this for a brand new copy?
Say what you like about this film, but X-men : Apocalypse made this look like a masterpiece.
Why is there so much hate for the film ? What's wrong with it ?

I really, really wanted to like it... but there was just too much shoved in, too much trying to build an entire cinematic universe instead of concentrating on one story. When I came out it was really like I'd just had an assault to the senses for 2 hours plus... and I didn't feel like it had been a fun experience... the tone was so serious, downbeat, angry... it's a superhero movie - I want at least a little bit of humour or brevity in it!
I enjoyed the film, it suffered with the following way way way to much was shown online, batman should never never be using a gun don't care about frank millers version. not enough was shown of wonder woman or aqua man, cyborg and the flash....even so I enjoyed the film
But it was about Batman and Superman, why bother having wonder woman, aquaman, etc in it at all? In my opinion this was just filler that distracted from the very poor story in the first place. Too much in a rush to catch up to Marvel and have inter-connected movies for the sake of it... I'm not against linking up super heroes if there's a decent enough reason for it other than the obvious cash grab they're looking for.
7% Quidco too if youre a new customer.

Nope, although I'd be in favour of that.

Not sure. Haven't watched this yet but the official film poster hasn't done much to convince me.

I think you just explained why most people dislike the movie so much. Most people have seen the avengers and other marvel movies which are light-hearted action movies. That's what they're expecting now when they see superhero movies so if it's different, they don't rate it at all. I, too, enjoy watching them but prefer the darker, grittier movies. It's DC vs Marvel. For all those hating on this movie, I wouldn't recommend watching the Killing Joke.
Classic film. They could have just made a DC version of the Avengers but instead they went the Dark Knight route. It needs more elaboration in places but that's supposed to be down to excessive cutting and rectified in the new release

Agreed, the film was superb. I think most people were expecting an Iron Man / Deadpool type movie and therefore were disappointed. The film is setting the stage for Justice League and if you watch it with this in mind then the parts which don't make much sense now (i.e. Batmans dreams).. they will do later.

Poundland soon ;-)
I'd vote for Kate Beckinsale for Bat Girl or Catwoman or anything
As long as she brings the chocolates and the pantomine horse mmmm !!
A valuable lesson learnt from this film, if ever involved in an fight - name drop "Martha" and hope its enough for a truce.
