Posted again in deals due to new change in HUKD rules where Kickstarter deals can now be posted if the project posted is at least 85% funded as it's likely to happen. At posting Battalion is at 190% funded and Bulkhead Interactive are looking to include extra stretch goals to further enhance this game.

This is a pledging type deal. Bulkhead Interactive who are based in Derby UK are trying to bring a realistic and skill based WW2 shooter without overpowered perks and abilities (COD :p). I am personally really looking forward to seeing the game arrive. It is expected in May 2017, some packages include PC alpha and beta access so have a look through to see what pledging package suits you.

They was initially looking for 100 thousand but with 22 days left they are already pledged 190 thousand so it's going to be interesting to hear their stretch goal ideas.

Bulkhead Interactive are sharing lots of updates and it's clear they want to release a game that is liked!

Two of the basic packages are:

Pledge £15 or more

Standard Riflemen Backer (PC)
Pre-Purchase for Steam Early Access

-Steam Early Access (Regular Retail £30)
-1 Standard Steam key (Full game)
-In-Game Backer Medal & Forum Tag

AND

Pledge £22 or more

Standard Riflemen Backer (Console)

-1 Standard Game Key (Xbox One or PS4)
-In-Game Backer Medal & Forum Tag

There are 22 days left to pledge and it's expected the above will be delivered May 2017. When you enter card details the money will go out when the pledge period ends (3rd March I believe).

I know right! Have personally pledged £25.00 so I can get a PS4 key and my name in the credits! Haha. Trying to get this moved to deals because it's not a misc thread.

I have gone for a PS4 key. I think it is defo worth it. Now they have 25 days or so to get as much as they can to add more features and improve on what's already looking a solid game!

Hi loopylloyd - as the team mentioned to you in their email, we were reviewing the criteria for Kickstarter so that members can share projects in the Deals section. I've just placed an update in the Feedback section here but projects can be posted in the deal section as long as the pledge has reached 85% of its goal at the time of posting. Thanks.
1944? Pfft. I'll stick to 1942.
I like the sound of this, the ethos on skill over unlocks reminds me of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory which ate many hours of my life - think I'll bite on this one

They was initially looking for 100 thousand and within 3 days it's smashed that already with over 120% and funding (4300+ backers) with BI considering stretch goals for extras for the game!

Not shared a deal of this nature and did a bit of research to see Kickstarter deals have been shared on HUKD.

Comments merged from previous misc thread. Thank you magicjay1986 for doing this
While you wait the 450 days until this is released don't forget you can download and play BF1942 for free- still some busy MP servers out there.

looks good, been looking for a decent WW2 shooter.. one of my favs is still COD 2, which I still play on my xbox 360. All the new COD games get way to complicated with upgrades and stuff for me... will look into this
Heat applied.
Daft question: if they raise more money than expected, which in turn gives them the ability to improve and expand it even further, will this not push a release date further out? And what would be the odds of there being a ps5 or Xbox2 at that time?!
Meh
Nice to see the developers are from my home town. Hope this game takes off
I was gonna post this to try and spread the news. I am really looking forward to this game. I have been waiting every year for Activision to announce World at War 2. But now I think about it, Call of Duty is ALL about killstreaks now and perks and loads of **** bling. I can't see how they would ever be able to go barebones WWII without severely damaging sales to the teenage population. This looks brilliant and possibly the only game like this to hit consoles.

Good to see this getting support. Hopefully can reach 100 degrees so it can reach to more people. They are trying to get as much as they can. More money = more stretch goals = more bang for buck.

Do people still play COD 2 online? Not likely to get backwards compatible? Yeah Bulkhead who are creating Battalion are massive COD 2 fans so it should influence Battalion.

Looks perfect to feed the WWII hunger left since CoD:WaW (the last good one imo), or at least until Activision/Treyarch pull their fingers from their....heat added

They have not announced stretch goals yet but they have also not said to date that we should expect a delay because of this. Currently it's expected to be ready for PC/PS4/XB1 for May 2017. I would say unlikely on those consoles for a little while yet.

Hhmmm

Why doesn't this have more heat? It's what next gen FPS gamers have been waiting for.
A bit off topić but I miss Red Orchestra Ost Front v. much. Would happily trade my 300 steam games jest to be able to see the servers full. This one looks promising. Fingers crossed it turns out to be a good game.

Not sure if I posted at a funny time although there are a few thousand members online. Hoping it will tip 100 heat just so they get more backers. We want this and we want it now! When a deal goes hot HUKD can make an impact!
