Definitely go for Overwatch over this. This will die out within three weeks once Overwatch is released anyways.
When Overwatch is released, the lying shill known as Randy Pitchford is going to find that his chickens have come home to roost.

Just for info, why do you both believe Overwatch will do better than Battleborn? I don't know much about either and came onto the Borderlands 2 scene very late in the day and had no issues with it (Presequel is a completely different story).
Blizzard is always gonna generate more interest than Gearbox. First IP in 15 years, of course people are gonna want to play this.

Most people who've played both beta agree that Overwatch is the superior game, too...

It is not so much that, though I wouldn't bet against Blizzard's title having stronger mechanics in place.

I would never give that man any money post the Aliens Colonial Marines fiasco eurogamer.net/art…ord

If the game is good why do you care? Should all those hard working devs be condemned because Pickford is a knob.

Ok, i recall all that now and yes the mock ups to the early released footage were a far cry from what was released. I was a huge Aliens fan so this was on my radar.

I did play Battleborn in a beta session some months ago and it was very underwhelming, a few Borderlands trademarks with how the bosses were introduced but it just felt bland. I put it down to being unfinished.
That said I fear that these games really play a lot like MOBAs (the mobbing and moving on type things I see online [but never played]...) more than anything else and I don't have much interested (personally) in that genre, just didn't grab my interests.
Overwatch will more than likely beat this game in sales sure (a massive marketing budget will help with that) but Battleborn & Overwatch are vastly different in gameplay style & mechanics.
The initial messaging from Gearbox (or should that be Randy) hasn't helped with differentiating the games from each other, but i'm much more open to a SP/Co-op campaign (as well as a MP mode) than a straight up MP game.

I wouldn't be surprised in a few years time (or in the next generation) this game will feature on numerous 'Top 10 underrated games of the previous gen' lists.

If they really have a different product they should have pushed the release a couple of months rather than try to beat Blizzard to release.

Guess I'm the only one looking forward to both Overwatch and Battleborn lol
