No game as stated in title

Worth noting it's only the PC edition

why on earth would you release a collectors edition of a game without the game, this truly boggles the mind

It does seem rather pointless, don't get my wrong I appreciate collectors editions but it's just an excuse to milk that bit extra.

It's a shame the UK version of the RE7 collectors edition is quite a bit different to the much better looking American version

I love the idea of collectors editions but most of the stuff you get is novelty items and ends up as clutter

Would be a good deal if it actually came with the game...

Regardless of it coming or not with the game it is a very nice price reduction, cheapest i can find. In my opinion this is a pretty sweet deal overall. The figure is great and very detailed it's not OP's fault if it doesn't come with the game, since launch we've known this!!!!! so i don't understand why are people voting cold..

Just gives the consumer more options. Like, if someone wants to buy the digital edition of the game, but also wants the collectors items, this allows them to do that.

Alternatively, maybe you buy the standard edition of the game, and then decide you would like the Collectors Edition. This would allow someone who already has the game to upgrade to the Collectors Edition without buying the game twice.

Plus games are expensive at release, and that is factored into the price of a collectors edition. So if you can buy it without the game, and wait until the game is heavily discounted, you're getting the whole thing a lot cheaper. I mean, the Collectors Edition with the game is £179.99 and the Collectors Edition without the game is normally £94.99, so you're essentially paying £85 to get the game with it. So if you're willing to wait until the game is £20, you're making a £65 saving. And now that the Collectors Edition is £50, you'd be making a £115 saving.

So all in all, it's a consumer friendly practice, and I hope more companies begin doing it.
