I don't think this comes with the DLC

You only need the base maps, everything else eventually becomes meh

revolution edition £13.99 /\ (all dlc i think).

buying base game for £8 is an "anti-deal" relatively speaking.

you "need"... the dlc, because people have preference for different maps - if you don't have them, you are limiting yourself finding people to play with. (with a view of the community going to transition to BFV soon).

only thing meh about battlefield is the servers meaning ping advantage for some players imho...

I had the season pass from the start, base maps are still my favourite set. The new maps are good, but are lacking. Can't wait for bfv!
i quit at BF4 because i play on pc (sold ps3) with controller with no friends... (- may as well be an unarmed duckling walking around).

i agree with you if you just want to "play the game", but if you want to keep playing thereafter (amass hours) / wait for BFV pricedrop - then you need to follow the community around to do so ime.

- some of the "rubbisher maps" make for more competitive games.

Shame because the player base is reducing rapidly as others have stated. For the price this or Revolution edition. Do consider 'V' if you're considering getting something for the long term.

Fortunately I already own it on console and knew that the player count is dropping quickly, based on what I had found on console recently anyway. I just fancied playing it on PC (I'm new to the whole mouse and keyboard thang) so was happy for the cheap buy!

Ok that makes sense. The PC player base is much smaller than that of console however. I just can't adapt to K/M so I use what seems to be a rare hybrid of Controller & Mouse

bf1stats.com

There are 67000 players righy now playing the game. Player count is not "dropping quickly". and people will continue to play. Not everyone has to play the latest thing in town

That would be neat. Like a Hive/Oculus controller for forward movement and mouse for direction.

That's Ok, I have 3 of the 4 map packs already, the only one I'm missing is They Shall Not Pass..
For £20 you can get the origin access. Not worth get one game for £8

Not sure. I only had a quick go of the single player
BF1 has been out for nearly 2 years and (a lot of) people still play BF4. Just because BFV is around the corner does not mean that BF1 will all of a sudden die. Player base is still huge. Personally I'd go for the revolution edition. It's only a fiver more and increases the map count and therefore the player count.
