I bought a month of EA play for £4 to try this game out. Whatever issues it had have probably been sorted because the game is playable just fine now and enjoyable.

I turned cross-play off and it was still finding full up 64 player PS5 games sometimes within a single second. The game has classes again like the previous battlefield games since the latest update and the changing day/night feature on maps with intense weather effects that can happen like sandstorms or tornadoes which change the flow of battle are great fun.

I'd say the closest thing that this game plays like is ground war mode from Modern Warfare 2019 but on a bigger and better scale - Battlefield games have always felt a bit rough and clunky in the past in terms of shooting /handling to me, kind of like the shooting mechanics in Far Cry games but this feels extremely similar to Modern Warfare quality/animation wise. I'm enjoying this a lot more than MW2 and respawn times are incredibly fast after dying too at around 3 seconds.

I remember playing the beta for BF2042 and it was one of the worst things I'd played - deleted it after about 2 matches. But I played this probably 10 hours straight the other day because it was so fun now. (edited)

That clunky feeling is called aiming :p. COD games are a bit more arcade spray and pray. BF2042 does have quite the mix of guns to suit most styles. I love the BF2 sniper rifle with a short scope for close range, suits my Rambo sniper approach.

Each to their own but its come a long way since launch and is a really good multilayer shooter now

This is actually a somewhat playable game now.

Absolutely worth this price great game, not the best Battlefield ever made but for this price it's definitely worth it and playing it's decent (edited)

I luv and hate so many games, and for so many reasons, but if you enjoy it, that's all that matters. Never played it myself.

Games in a decent state now, not classic BF but more than playable.

Think it needs to be on PS Plus though to get an influx of players, unless you want to crossplay with PC.

Ok EA Dice, see how your vision did well.
Top shooter game is dying after less than a year after the miserable release.
Keep on shooting yourself in the toes by not listening to the fans.

It's a good game on PC at least. Couldn't stand it when it first came about but it's been very good for months now.

Does the PS5 suffer the same cheats/hacks that the PC is infested with? (edited)

Isn't this game cross-platform between all 3 platforms?

Does this have campaign mode? Cheap enough for me to buy a copy to run through campaign
    Avatar
    No multiplayer only

I presume it's for the disk version, not the digital version (edited)

    Yep, disk mate. Toon Army

Is this game as bad as they say? It’s so cheap on all formats..

I play it on Xbox and actually really like it! Love cod for that smaller scale online battles, but this gives a huge sense of scale with jets flying over and helicopters crashing around you.
