Battlefield 2042 on Xbox Series X | S £29.85 @ Simply Games

Thanks for posting. I can’t decide whether I need this or the gold edition. My friends bought the gold edition and there seems to be some confusion about what that gives.

I don’t care about any early access or cosmetics.
I do care about getting new maps when they are added.
I kind of don’t care that much about new guns.

I saw someone on YouTube say that paid battle pass stuff with be purely cosmetic..
can someone advise?

I'm tempted by this but have a feeling will drop even more as there's a lot of haters 🙈

Don’t go near it….

Even if you’re tempted, hold out until they talk about what they’re doing to fix this mess. At any price point this game is a disappointment and according to steam stats, the player base is rapidly declining.

Thanks for posting but I don’t think this is a good buy due to how bad this is.

Would buy it at the moment unless it was a £10

I played the free play days over the weekend, il definitely wait until this comes to Game pass ultimate instead.

In that case, you simply won't benefit from the gold edition.

The new maps are free for everyone and the guns should be too.

Don't buy the gold edition m, it's worthless. Everything is free, if they don't completely abandon this game as its got less players already than Battlefield 5 (on steam at least)

As a long time bf fan, it’s honestly such a shame that they actually released this game in its current state.

Have to agree it's a mess but enjoying the breakthrough mode more than conquest. Always enjoyed conquest more but the maps are poor for that mode.

I still got 3 hours on my 10 hour trial that I cant bring myself to finish. By the time its all patched up and additional content is out it will probably be on EA play a few months later

I think due to my low standards due to Warzone, I actually found this game a fun game to play for like an hour with friends. Obviously has glitches and dumb stuff like getting destroyed by helicopters at spawn,but...so do the other games>?

Avoid! Game is unplayable pure lag fest

At risk of sounding like I'm jumping on the bandwagon..i'm a long time BF fan and this is just a terrible game. Avoid.

Had a go tonight, lots of fixes made to gun play, hit registration , seems better but still a lot to do.

I ordered it as my friends are playing this together. Worth having the disc copy for the trade in later down the line..

I have to say that i find MP games are just a mess nowadays, especially FPS's, so I've gone back to SP and Co-op.

The only games I play on online now are the Forza Horizon and Motorsport games, but even those have idiots that just wanna smash you off the track instead of actually race, which is the whole point.

That was a misprice, not the actual price
The actual price is $40 minus sales tax, so actually more than Simply Games in this deal
