Went into Speke HMV this evening to pre-order Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 (plan to trade in F1 2010 to get the great price of £4.99). Noticed in the pre-owned 360 section they had Battlefield Bad Company 2 for £8. There were a few there but also on the same shelf they had some for £19.99 (pre owned an not ultimate edition).

Thought it was a great price and the guy never bat an eyelid when he sold me it so it must be right? Anyway, I've been waiting ages for a decent price and this is the best I've seen. Although it is not the ultimate edition it is not to be sniffed at!

Don't know if this is elsewhere but they had another couple for £8 on the shelf.

Please be gentle - first post!

the thing with hmv is that different stores charge different prices annoying for a national chain. Good price, voted hot. DLC will cost another £6, but pretty good still.

nice.. VOTED HOT thanks

quality game the multiplayer kicks ass!

Unfortunately there's a reason it's so cheap. Without the VIP code you get from a new copy you have very few MP maps to play with.

Great value if you only want it for SP (voting hot on that) but the Ultimate Edition is better value for money if you want the whole MP experience.

Quality game! for those who only play the like of CoD only then open your gaming minds by getting a hold of this and try the online multiplayer as it seriously kicks ass

So £14 including the other maps is not good value but £20 plus is ????????

I will never buy one of these pre-owned EA Games that require re-purchasing additional codes for all the functionality.

That's what I thought, buy the extra DLC if I want it. Unfortunately, I don't play the games online often (don't have the time) but like the campaigns. If it is anything like BC1 (which I believe it is tons better), this in my eyes is an absolute steal.

Could you get it anywhere else cheaper?

thanks

I was £10 delivered at CEX but just checked and its gone up to £15...

Hope the HMV in Harlow has it for £8 .... HOT!

I think the EA strategy of putting in these codes is actually a kind of good idea. If they were Activision, they would be charging us £10-15 for a map pack. For EA's games, they are free. Provided you buy it new. But quite a hot deal.

Saw this online, and had to buy the Ultimate Edition. It will be worth the wait! I just hope Game on their 'Monday madness' offers include the UE of BFBC2.
