It's been £2.99, admittedly not from Battle.net, but that didn't last long.

But given that you can get the Game of the Year Edition for just £3 more, it's a bit middle of the road now.

Is GOTY edition worth it?

I think it's more a 'you may as well' than an 'is it worth it'. It's purely cosmetic with 10 loot (dare I use that word) boxes thrown in for good measure.

The GOTY Edition includes...

Overwatch:

Enjoy 10 Standard Loot Boxes, each containing a collection of random items that can be used to customize your favorite heroes. Loot Boxes may include skins, emotes, victory poses, voice lines, sprays, and highlight intros, as well as credits you can use to unlock a variety of different customization options.

Overwatch:

Origins Skins; Pay homage to the original Overwatch strike force with vintage skins of Blackwatch Reyes for Reaper and Strike-Commander Morrison for Soldier: 76. Explore other heroes' origins with Overgrown Bastion, Security Chief Pharah, and Slipstream Tracer.

Diablo III:

Mercy's Wings; Slay demonic forces throughout the High Heavens and Burning Hells while donning Mercy's wings, and all of Sanctuary will know of your allegiance to Overwatch!

StarCraft II:

Player Portraits; These picture-perfect portraits of Tracer, Reaper, Pharah, Winston, Bastion, and Soldier: 76 give new meaning to the phrase "Hero of the Koprulu Sector."

Hearthstone:

Overwatch Card Back; If you happen to find yourself in a Tavern Brawl, show your opponent you've got backup with an Overwatch-themed card back.

World of Warcraft:

Baby Winston Pet; Adorably cuddly and highly intellectual, the Baby Winston pet will be at your side as you fight to extinguish the Burning Legion.

Heroes of the Storm:

Tracer Hero; The cavalry's here! Jump into the Nexus with Tracer and surprise your enemies in the blink of an eye.

Some good items in there for Overwatch, and if you play the other Blizzard games, there's stuff thrown in there, too. I'm kind of tempted just to re-launch WoW now for a Baby Winston pet

such a boring overrated game

So basically, in summary, it's not worth £3 for cosmetic dog poop.

Does £3 improve game play or add additional content that's not cosmetic? Yes or No is suffice.

I'm not quite sure why you're asking a question you already know the answer to. Are you just going out of your way to be difficult? A yes or no answer will suffice.

Strange. You reworded the whole comment because you added an un-needed 'O'?

£17 is ridiculously cheap, heat added. It's not perfect, but it's the closest I've seen anyone come in a long time. And it's only getting better. And the PC version is obviously the best.

Overwatch is some of the best value gameplay I've purchased, having picked it up on PC at launch. None of this paid DLC bullcrap, no pay-to-win.

Interesting, fun, gorgeous and cool roster of characters which have been tweaked, overhauled and expanded over time.

New characters, new maps, new gameplay modes. Server browser. Special events added regularly. Excellent esports league (with the Overwatch World Cup being great to follow this year.)

Sniper healer from Egypt, Latin-American stealth hacker, African energy shield and machinegun defense bot, amoral Irish evil scientist with healing and offensive capabilities, all added since launch. For free.

Even the short cinematics Blizzard have released are top notch. (The "Alive" one kicked me in the chest like a Pixar movie.) The comics are supposed to be really good, the ones I've read sure were. They're building out and filling in the Overwatch universe and it's AWESOME.

The loot crate reward system is cosmetic and has no real-world swapping or selling. Nothing like the CS:GO weapons fiasco. You can buy extra loot crates for cosmetics like voice lines and skins, but you win them regularly anyway. It's your skills and teamwork that determine how you do, not how much money you spend.

And on the PC, the game is optimized to a crazy degree. It'll play on a potato. I got hooked playing it on a 10 year old AMD APU. My current rig, a 6600K with a 960, runs it smooth as silk with decent settings. It looks sweet.

Where is the GOTY £19.99 for anyone who is interested please. I can only find it for £21.99 which makes this an awesome deal.

You've become quite obsessed with this conversation. Surely you have something better to be doing, right?

Anyway, I was out by a pound. It's £20.99. People are allowed opinions, you know. Apologies if it didn't match yours.

No, at this moment in time I don't but thanks for the concern. But being 25% off is quite an error.

(25% or 33.3°% depending on how you look at £3 compared to £4 difference)

I was actually 5% out. But I'll let you work that out. Have a good one
Can I just say for warcraft pet battlers. Baby Winston is one of the best battle pets you can have.

so there’s that

Have a good nights sleep. I'd agree with you if you'd put it was £19.99 but you put it was £3 more. Last time I checked the difference between £4 and £3 wasn't 5% and can only be 25% or 33% depending on how you look at it. But hopefully a good night's sleep will help you work that one out.

Look at the total cost of the higher priced item. What percentage of it was he out by? Pretty much 5%.

Holy *#*# I didn't realise, thanks for explaining that one.... . Look what I've written in what you've quoted. I've already agreed that if he wrote the total amount. He however wrote you only needed £3 more. I did the percentage difference in the amount you need extra not in the totals.

Honestly, no. I didn't think it was forced, it's not unexpected that Tracer's significant other would show up in a comic about her Christmas. It was done in exactly the way it should have been, the same as any couple, straight or gay. Love is love, and all that. Why wouldn't she have a hot redhead girlfriend?

I think the only difference is in the audience. If it was a guy and a girl I think most people would have assumed from the first panel she was in, with Emily making coffee with her jumper off her shoulder, they were a couple. Whereas it wasn't until the kiss that it clicked for me.

I didn't feel it was forced or clumsy, I thought it was smart. Almost playful by playing it, if you'll excuse the pun, straight. I liked it.

Easily the best game i've purchased in the last year. Constant updates and new characters at no extra cost, numerous events/play modes throughout the year.
Great graphics and gameplay, highly recommended.
