Good price for a great series!

Still £12.48 from DVDi - but Quidco and a more reliable retailer here!

This great value, cause not only does it include season 1, it also includes the mini-series as well, which was not included in the standard DVD season 1

Wowzer! Any fellow HUKD members with a voucher they'd like to donate to make a silly price even sillier?

Acknowledged and agreed, I tried to order a Bourne HD DVD yesterday from DVDi and had a nightmare trying to check out and ended up giving up completely.

HMV to their credit have been great lately. I ordered a HD DVD this morning and within half an hour I had an email advising it had been shipped.

Quite a few new ones appeared on HMV at some good prices as well

To be honest, not sure about this one. Great price, but I've heard the transfer isn't that great.

Not sure if I'd like the series either. Voted hot anyway because of the price.

The series is great but i heard the transfer isn't much better than dvd so i'll just keep with my dvd set

Is this that much superior over the UK series 1 release on dvd anyone? I'm loving the BSG but i've heard mixed reviews on this.

I'll add that I've heard the transfer isn't all that good as well, which is what put me off getting it on HD.

PS - you've spelled Galactica wrong. :-D

does this defo have the mini series?

Yes it has the mini series - I have it on HDDVD - Some of the live action camera footage is a little grainy, but the CG more than makes up for it

Whooops. Corrected it. Glasses on next time....

The transfer's not great in the first few episodes, but after that, the quality is excellent.
Couldn't stop watching. Great series. Just a shame the rest won't be on HD DVD.

I actually got this from DVDi for £12.48 and had no problems at all.
Guess I caught them on a good day, from what I've been reading.

DVDi have sneakily started to add 99p insurance at the checkout. So £13.47 Quidco 5% against HMV 10%
Not a good company to order from, they put a lot of orders on "processed" then cancel after 21 days. Out of 6 dvds ordered I have received ony one (BSG).
Very slow comes from Gibralta eventually, well my BSG took many weeks to arrive..

AND they have managed to get 62p taken from my May Quidco earnings received somehow. Shows as -62p received

I will stick to HMV and Play in future

For gods sake i HATE this site

thats another £13 spent after spending £18 yesterday on planet earth. I keep saying "thats it" on the hddvd front and then something else comes along

You just untick the box that says 'Postal Insurance' - you don't have to pay it. ;-)
