One of the best, if not the best sci-fi series in recent years.

Price is still at £34.34 down the right hand side of the page and sold by Amazon, although the despatch time is now showing as 7-11 days, so it is still available at this price, just a slightly longer despatch time, so deal is still valid.

Top tip from wolf359:
Anyone who purchased this at the higher price (like me) if you email amazon to complain will get the difference refunded, I did it this morning and my refunds been approved

The complete set of all five series of the TV smash hit Battlestar Galactica. Following a devastating attack on their homeworlds, the only surviving humans of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol cross the galaxy in a space convoy headed by the Battleship Galactica. In hot pursuit are the ruthless Cylons, powerful robots who turned on their human creators and brought about the near annihilation of mankind. The voyagers' last hope is to find the fabled 13th colony: Earth. But with their nemeses in hot pursuit and the revelation that the artificial machines now have the ability to take human form, it's going to be very far from an easy quest. Special Features

Making a new deal because the price has lowered over 24 hours is a bit lame. You could have just posted the change in the earlier deal. Amazon prices are always fluid.

Then again, perhaps I should post it again as a new deal as it's gone down another 10p to £34.34 since you posted

Hey Waterboy8535, I just saw it was a great price and when i searched that the price was higher so I posted the deal. I didn't notice the previous deal was only 24 hours old.

And thanks for pointing out the typo on the price, I've updated my original post. Thanks

I should also say if a Mod wishes to close this thread and update the thread that Waterboy refers to then please do so.

if it hasn't been dispatched yet cancel then reorder at the cheaper price(go into account/orders).
really poor quality blurays.
check Amazon reviews first...
yeah, was thinking of getting this to replace my dvd copies but the reviews seem to indicate that's not worth doing.

No, thats simply not true. Theres ALOT of folk on the net moaning about "grainy" pictures on BSG but thats an intentional look to the series which is simply more pronounced on HD. If they don't like that look, tough, its part of the shows look and no matter how you watch it you'll get that effect.

Also its got 4.4 out of 5 from 300+ reviews on Amazon so most folk seem to have liked them!!

I'll have a go. Thanks OP.

I also understand that the Blu-ray version cuts the corners off all pieces of paper...

I notice this is on Netflix.
I've always wanted to give this a go.

Does Netflix lose anything from this box set (excluding extras obviously)
Red Hot price. And the blu-rays look great. It's not supposed to look shiny and clean with pretty lens flares like the recent Star Trek movies. It's supposed to be a dirty gritty grimy future. The pilot mini series is a bit patchy but the series proper is fine, and the audio is great.

Pretty sure Netflix doesn't have any of the extended episodes. It's no big deal, not sure if they have the films or not.

Be warned, this is nothing like that campy stuff, its pretty raw at times. And is also the best fictional program ever broadcast.

Don't think they are any issues on quality.. many magazines list this in their top 10 essential blu rays

Perfect 1080p transfer.. exactly as the producers intended

no probs, hope it helps someone
Frak ... looks like it has expired. Price is back to £59.99
Just started watching this on Netflix. A mini series and 5 episodes in and I'm hooked. Just superb. The Baltar, Cylon in his head thing is such a great story telling vehicle and Adama is perfect. It's intelligent Sci Fi with an edge. I'm just wandering if they can maintain the quality (remember what happened with 'Heroes'?)...I mean '33' was just brilliant TV whatever genre you usually like.

I'm trying to remember why I didn't start watching it when released cos I like the original series and would've been up for it! Something must have put me off...maybe the new take on things....I'm not great with change! oO

I know i would!. In fact i can't recall the crack with "the plan" now..was it about pensions?
Starbuck is in the new Riddick movie and its a great movie on par with pitch black
Been waiting to cane through this for ages. Seeing as dexter, breaking bad will have finished in the next month and I'll have finished fringe this is my next one
Just recently started my sixth viewing of this excellent series, it has a Star Wars effect (but better), where you can watch it again and again. My personal opinion is that this has been the best TV series I have ever seen (Game of Thrones a close second), because of the fantastic writing, and there is so much to it. Every time I have watched it I still find out something new that I never realised previously. Voted hot on the price.
