I've never seen it myself, but I know that there are quite a few people who watch it and love it, so I thought I'd post it up.

I think it's about £90/100 elsewhere, so I thought £70 seemed pretty decent. Especially if you've got any Walkers codes left, etc.
And don't forget Quidco too.
Edit: Apparently Quidco have a £6 off £60 voucher, so that brings the price down even more!

"Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Series contains the entire Emmy(r) award winning epic Battlestar Galactica series, from the Second Cylon war of the Mini Series through their journey across the vastness of space told in every episode of Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 (including the TV movie Razor) and ending with The Final Season."

Just ordered. If you go via quidco, they have a 6.00 voucher if you spend over 60, so that brought it to 63.95. I'd been holding out till I could get it for under 75. This complete box set has, I think, the extended episodes missing from the single season sets.

Best. TV. Series. Ever.

Sooooooooo tempted.......I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure......

Ok made the decision, ordered with Quidco discount........brilliant find op.

Reading through a few Amazon reviews I think the American version has the extended episodes but this version does not despite listing them on the case. It doesn't really bother me because some of the extended scenes seemed to be out of place but others might want the complete package.

Edit: others have confirm that this does have the extended episodes.

The Wire ?

I have this version but its a slightly different box, it also has 20 discs and does contain all the extended episodes and extras i doubt they would reauthor the disc just to take them out. A word of warning if you think the episodes look grainy it is intentional. Make sure you turn any Dynamic contrast or crap like that because it will make the show look worse. Best bluray boxest i have bought well worth the 99 i paid for it over a year ago

The Wire ?

Just finished watching The Wire, its brilliant, but Battlestar is better for me.

Only 2 differences between this and the the individual boxsets are - the 36 page BSG book and the outer packaging, individual seasons have extended cuts of the following episodes - Pegasus (season2) , Unfinished business (Season3), Razor (Season4), Island in a stream (Final season) and daybreak(final season)

All the same bonus features across the discs, same amount of discs. With the individual seasons having went up approx £2 each in last few weeks this deal is cheaper by around £1, at near enough the same price a complete boxset over individual seasons is good in my book so good find OP, heat added from me whereas 2 weeks ago this would have been cold as i bought all the individual seasons together for £54 give or take a few pence (also from zavvi)

Some of the reviews refer to the dvd boxset rather than the BR version hence why some people are saying you need to buy the mini-series as well. I'm not 100% certain this does contain the extended episodes, webisodes, etc., but at this price, with the Quidco voucher, I've gone for it. Cheers OP.

I believe this one is what you call 'a right frakking bargain'. 80 odd episodes (by the time Razor, websiodes, The Plan are factored in) of such a high calibre series cannot be ignored at this price!

I've still got the sealed DVD boxset that was a Christmas present. So tempted to sell it and pay the extra for the upgrade

So tempted by this..I may end up purchasing tonight..brilliant, deal, heat added

Oo nice deal... I wasn't gonna pay more than £65 for this boxset but then realised just had a 10% voucher from quidco g it at £63.. result..

Now time to sell my DVD's on fleabay..

I got this same blu ray boxset for Christmas and can confirm it does have all the extended episodes. In fact it's worth watching out for them so you don't accidentally watch the shorter version and then realise that the next episode is the extended version of the same one.
Superb series.
So say we all.

Been waiting for a good deal on this since Christmas. Can't go wrong with the price after the Quidco voucher. Heat added.

Complete high def set for £64? Super hot in my book. Been waiting for this to drop for ages. Can't go wrong for this price!

Excellent Series, get involved if you haven't seen it!

Been watching this on sky atlantic and have to say i'm impressed, tempted to get this so i can watch it all when i want and not have to wait for sky

£75 instore at HMV if you prefer High Street shopping.

Easily the most intelligently written Sci-Fi series of all time!

Frack. I'll vote this hot.

Just got this at zavvi for £61.95 used a code they sent me for £8 off, Heat added.

Original Poster

They sent you a code for £8 off? ^^ That's such a random price!
Any particular reason why, or just out of the blue?

Does anyone know if this includes The Plan ?

Awesome, I wish this was around closer to Christmas, I couldn't warrant £130, so I shelled out £39 for the DVD set when my local HMV Gibbons messed up

Hot!

No it doesn't include the plan. Mind you i'd definitely recommend NOT watching the plan and pretending it never existed as half of it is just rehashing bits of old episodes with deleted scenes inserted. Biggest waste of a tenner I ever spent.

Haven't seen battlestar yet, can't wait to start watching it now. Also can't for 'game of thrones'.

This, Lost and The Wire are my 3 favourite shows of all time. It's absolutely a great show to check out next.

Also a note to those put off by the genre/title: It took me ages to convince some of my friends to watch a show called Battlestar Galactica. It, admittedly, does sound like a cheesy sci-fi show. It isn't. It's a really f*****g good character drama set in space. There are no aliens, no lasers, no wookies, holodecks or transporters. The biggest pill to swallow in terms of sci-fi is the idea of sentient robots (and faster than light travel, but that's a necessity when dealing with space travel outside of our solar system). Everyone I have got to watch it LOVES it. Start with the mini-series, not Season 1 episode 1.

Shame they made such a mess of caprica. They held back all the good stuff and opened to many plot lines. The last few episodes were still great even after it was canceled and half finished.

This is a great price for some of the best tv I have ever watched.

I liked The Plan, very clever I thought. Adds to the overall Battle star experience

Yes peeps you have to watch the mini-series first ! otherwise nothing else makes sense.

I did the wrong thing and watched series 1 Episode 1 and got to episode 3 before i realised i had missed the start.

Excellent series and a bargain at £63 :-)
