I used to see them for laptops years ago. I have no interest in this offer personally it was more a statement we all saw it 2 years ago at asda for some **** box on black friday.

Does anyone know if it's wall-mount only? Can't see any mention or picture of a stand.
Why would anyone pre-order this TV with no reviews or at least seeing what the picture quality was like first?
Edited by: "ristac" 24th Mar 2016
seriously?? for another £60/70 you could get a decent brand? Samsung / Sony / LG / Panasonic delivered to your door
Is this TV wall mount only?
The 'smart' features are usually pretty crappy on these type of TVs. SO if you're not too bothered about that part, you can pick up similar spec (non-smart) TVs for less.
subscribed to the thread to see reviews if people post them. not really bothered about smart functions these days as got chromecast and the shield.

where from mate? I'd rather pay less for non smart as, like you said, the smart function in these TV's tend to be uber basic.

Ao.com currently have a Seiki 43" for £179.00 delivered.

http://ao.com/product/se43fo02uk-seiki-tv-black-37573-108.aspx

Shows as £189, but add to basket and it drops to £179

or if you do want the 'smart' features, Tesco do a DigiHome one, again 43", so larger screen than this Aldi one for the same-ish price at £199

some good reviews the only bad one mentions the blurring whilst watching footy. ive had a tv like that and it is annoying when the action is fast moving. thanks for the link though. might end up taking a punt on it. unfortunately, I don't think its a brand I can see in the flesh.

the one from AO certainly looks more stylish.
Currys are knocking out a JVC 40" for 199.99 in there current sale as well.
need to know how the picture is for footy. had a tv once where it kept on getting blurred for footy with the fast paced action. seriously annoying and spoilt the watching.

thing is, I don't really watch much tv so can't justify spending uber amounts as it just wont be used that much. but need it to be right when I do watch.

Probably won't be able to see this Aldi one (or the AO one) in action before purchase. Aldi are pretty good with returns though.

You could take some demo video files on a usb stick to Tesco etc and see what they look like if any of their TVs are in your budget.

If your budget is limited then go for something that has a smaller screen but is better quality?
3yr warranty /free delivery and smart it's a no brainer
You lost me at "Bauhn". Is that some b-stard son of Braun and Blaupunkt?

*Please note the "b-stard" is NOT a swear word and used in it's actual, literal sense.

Which Panasonic can you purchase for £260/270? The only ones I know of are no better than this one (as the cheap Panasonic TVs are rebadged Vestel units).

The second one is much more expensive than the one in this deal. So really not comparable.

The first one is a vestel unit, which is the exact point being made - probably no better a panel than this one. Now if your a brand snob.....

Or metalwork hammers...
Most TVs at this price point by 'Brands' come out of Vestels Turkish factory, Bauhn's don't. Have the 48" 4k set they sold in November in the bedroom and for the money I'm very impressed with it, blacks aren't brilliant at night but the overall picture is very good once you set it up correctly.

The first one is a Turkish-made Vestel with a 'decent' brand name badge stuck on it. And a 12 month warranty. That doesn't constitute a 'decent brand TV' in my book. It's a 'decent brand badge' with a non-decent brand TV at the back of it. Next!

And the second one is 65% more expensive than the Bauhn, not 65 quid And, again, with a 12 month warranty.
