Was going to get this to polish up a dull looking marble fireplace. Anyone any thoughts?

I think you'd need to research that a little bud. This is a DA which is on the lighter end of cutting abilities (vs a rotary machine).
I'm not sure how much 'cut' is required for marble but I imagine it's quite hard?

A good test would be to try polishing part of it with your hands. If you're not getting the results you want with that then this isn't going to be up to much either

why not just polish by hand
    Avatar
Because it would take hours and the finish wouldn't be as good

Be careful using this. It’s not a Dual Action polisher and therefore can be easy to burn your paint and cause significant damage. For beginners Dual Action is much safer

But this one is dual action.

I bought something similar a few years ago (it was around twice the price) and it's been great for occasional use. This looks like a real bargain at this price!

    OOS!.
Thanks OP. I can't believe it. I missed it last time, and am supposed to be watching, but eBay never notified me it was back in stock. Now it was even cheaper, but its out of stock again! 😡

Totally off the subject of polish but would this be ok for car seats with soft fine pads? I’ve had a lot of spillages on the seats with coffee, porridge that has slightly stained them, that’s with out the children in the back or anything else?

Is this still worth it when don’t have metallic paint? Eg white car non metallic. I presume this is after the washing stage and you’re adding a product to the sponge?
