sorted byjust 9 more months to wait, poor exlusives at the moment on xb1 and ps4
wii u and pc is a pretty potent combo
i have everything but only because im obsessed but if it had to choose 2 i would go wii u and pc
I bought a PS4 because I wanted one.
I bought a Wii U because I wanted one.
Absolutely everything I buy is personal preference! Not everybody likes the same games, Not everybody likes the same types of computers or phones, not everybody cares about the "highest spec" or "best performance" why do so many people waste time arguing about what people "should have bought". Just buy the stuff that YOU actually want and stop going by what everybody else says.
Not everybody has the same opinion on everything either so if somebody wants an android phone they should get one, if somebody wants an apple phone they should get one. why do people have to constantly argue which thing they think is better and physically waste time trying to say that somebody "should have bought this". Just buy what you want! honestly!
Wow I ranted quite a lot there.
bye.

thanks OP, have some heat
Cheers. Vote for Pedro.
I honestly think this time around 'next gen' is hardly the jump many people perceive it to be, there again other than kack (knack) that came bundled with my PS4, and Killzone 3 I am yet to play anything other than indie titles and rehashes of last gen (The Last Of Us, GTA V and Tomb Raider) which look great but probably not as jaw dropping a difference as you would expect, crisper visuals...but even GTA V I was surprised did not have a great 'draw distance'.
Personally I would not have gotten a PS4 this early. I only did because to cut a long story short my wife had a financial windfall in time for xmas 2013, knowing as a gamer I would eventually want a PS4 she got me one anyway, bless her. I did tell her at the time that whilst overjoyed if I did not play it much it would be due to lack of games.
A year on...I could have survived quite happily without my PS4 with the wealth of titles I already have to play on, and most certainly as you have said the Wii U certainly does fill the gap of the Xbox 360 and PS3 and until quality exclusives start appearing on Xbox One and PS4 then anyone looking for something as a sideline to playing on the now aging consoles would find the Wii U delightful. Even the ridiculously dubbed 'master race' pc gamer would find something to love within the Wii U software repetoire they would never find on steam etc.
If at some point in the future you are planning to buy a PS4 and as said are a PS Plus subscriber (not everyone knows this, most do but I will mention just in case you do not) make sure you are checking out each month PS4 titles adding them to your basket and purchasing them via logging into your account via a computer/tablet.
Also, just to add, part of the appeal with the Wii U over the Xbox One and PS4 is literally down to the graphical jump..whilst obviously only marginally better than a 360 or PS3 the graphical difference over the (gamecube oriented) original Wii is so vast it has you smiling to see such delightful Nintendo titles in HD for the first time.
I never got that feeling from owning a PS4.

£20? Absolutely ridiculous. It's the deal of the week.

As another user posted, if anyone's interested, the first Bayonetta is on PSN for a measly £3.29!
(you just need to enter name, email and order number)
agreed! this for me is the only combo
I've had my Wii U a week and absolutely love it (PS4, PC and 360 gamer).
me too
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Gameplay Video
Correct.
Heat!
I have enjoyed playing on the PS4, mainly ports of last years games though, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider and GTA V I have been playing again.....otherwise it has mainly been indie titles that have been getting a look in...Resogun and Velocity 2X are fantastic titles, I am hoping that this year brings some decent exclusive major developer games though.
On the Wii U front there has been only two games the past year Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and Mario Kart 8 that I have bought, however having only had my Wii U in March last year there has been a wealth of back catalogue titles that have kept me happy. Cannot say after playing the demo I am that impressed with Bayonetta 2 other than the graphics, too much clutter onscreen to even attempt to learn any strategy I find.
After being a games player for the past 30 odd years I am clearly not a connoisseur...after playing the demo I found the screen clutter that much on this to attempt any strategy for bosses, whilst the graphics are beautifully done, the lighting not so, it glares that much I find myself struggling making sense of the action.
