That may be a bad idea. You could end up with two physical games which only support the Japanese language.

Bayonetta 2 Japanese edition on WiiU had English subs.
Bayonetta 1 Japanese edition was "MULTi6" (Japanese / German / English / French / Spanish / Italian)
Most of Switch games that were release the same day worldwide were MULTi9.

We will also know before release day if Bayonetta Japanese edition has english subs or not so you can cancel your pre order.

Worse case scenario is you forget to cancel your Japanese edition and it doesn't have english subs, still you will be able to sell it on ebay for £100+.

I suppose Nintendo will keep charging silly prices, so long as people still consider stuff like this to be a deal.

Still don't understand why all SNES Mini "deals" got +1,000° at £79.99 which is its usual price and very easy to find...
Nintendo bots i guess.

Price is not the only criteria that dictates a (hot) "Deal".
I'm looking at getting the Japanese version. Think it'll probably come in at about £85 with shipping from a shopping service.

Would rather pay that than £70 for a download version of the first game!

Where are you purchasing the jp version?

I was looking at Nin-nin-game.com, but it's about £100.

Play Asia don't have stock and not sure of the price

The other option is getting it from Nintendo Japan (or Amazon if they get stock back in) using Zenmarket.

You get one free order (they credit your account with 300¥ which is their processing fee) and from Nintendo it's about £71. It's cheaper at Amazon but no stock.

The thing that's making me hold off is they don't know the postage cost, and won't until they receive it, so you'll then have to pay that. I read somewhere it would be about £15, but who knows? They charge 600¥ (I think) to return it if you don't want it.
£70 for 2 old games is NOT a deal.

Are people that brainwashed by nintendo?

Christ.

100% correct.

One also has to factor in "stupidity".
Or just play on pc for £9.99
Guys I'm sorry but this is a terrible deal. This is coming from someone who got Bayonetta 2 First Print too. At the time that was a great deal because you got a brand new, EXCLUSIVE game for the system at £60. And that was a physical copy of the first game too which was the only way to get it!! Now three years later you're paying £10 more for older games...but hey cool steelbook and stickers I guess

I think it's more that a lot of people love Bayonetta. They're two of my favourite games of all time and I'll be getting the first game for the third time!

But this is a pretty crappy special edition considering its nearly £30 more then the standard version.
Im super stoked to get this game. BUT...I'll probably just get the regular edition as always. Discount seems unlikely on a switch game but Im sure the regular version will be 49.99 at most.

Also I have the 360 and PC version of Bayonetta so the original game pack is kinda a moot point for me. Good for new players though. (same with gears 4 bundling 1 2 3 and judgement..I mean I have them all. Kinda useless to loyal fans)

I am very sorry but sadly theres no more room in this world of Nintendo/Apple fanboys for clever people: anything Nintendo release is good, any price is fine. Just buy and upvote
