Interesting comments - would it be possible to cancel direct debit and inform them that you have done so as you wish to cancel? Surely bank would not continue to pay out then? Thanks for the warning.... out of interest was the wine good?

A big improvement would be able to set a time for each of the buttons, e.g. Rice to 4 mins, and Casserole to 12 mins, which by the way are the times in the booklet. Or better yet just make the Rice button be 4 mins by default rather then the 30 minutes it is right now.

i was being a little facetious, it can be a pain to dial it in sometimes - to go down from 30 or to go up to 120. have you seen the new model in the US that is so customisable it allows you to use an app and you can create custom programmes? that's what you need.

Only used it once, made Salsa Verde Chicken, ended up being too much liquid so used the saute function at the end to condense the liquid, worked very well.

saw the reviews on costco site some were saying they are unreliable and break down. May be I got lucky that's why I bought the Tower one. I also researched sorry about comment but that's what I found when I looked into it. If your happy with it that's all that matters.

Not a big deal. I suppose plugging it in is tedious too?

good deal I love mine and use it 3-4 times a week. got mine from Costco. never seen a poor review, don't know what other commenter is talking about.

Shame the poster didn't bother to chk the deal before posting, AppShopper is very much a US based deals site for iTunes.Dad's just downloading for the Android OS though, thanks shamsul1 much appreciated, he's telling me how slow it is to download each book. If he uninstalls it (after installing the app then downloading all the books/recipes) will all those books still be available for free afterwards (like my iPhones inapp purchases?)

Call from work.
I have a subscription to this magazine. It was fun at first but after the first two issues, I no longer read it. All the recipes are too simple and quick. That's no good if the end result is tasteless. The magazine doesn't deliver what it promises.

thanks for the tip, just tried it on firefox and it worked! But still won't display properly on IE7.

Thanks to OP for this.

Have been trying since Tuesday to do this via Internet Explorer 7 and Vista, switched to Mozilla Firefox and the hidden part of the submission form was visible.

I would suggest that anyone having difficulty with the submission use an alternative to IE7 ;-)

If the BBC is meant to represent the UK as a whole - could a single … If the BBC is meant to represent the UK as a whole - could a single mother on benefits afford a ticket here?

A single mother on benefits is better off than other sections of society. I feel more sorry for the singletons who work all the hours god sends yet still have little to show.

Back to the point, this is still a deal saving people who fancy going money so I say hot. :-D

Yes, this event would not be financed out of licence fees. As far as I am aware, the involvement would be through BBC Enterprises which is a proft making arm which deals in DVD sales, sales to foreign TV stations and magazines such as the Radio Times. So rest easy, you're not paying for this one!

ibiza;2404528

Should this not be free as we have funded them entirely with our TV tax … Should this not be free as we have funded them entirely with our TV tax already? Is Jonathon Ross really worth the TV tax of an entire town the size of Stafford, Wrexham, or Dundee? Is it right that the chairman of the bank respsonsible for the most illegal bank charges - should also be a director of the BBC?If the BBC is meant to represent the UK as a whole - could a single mother on benefits afford a ticket here?COLDOLDLDDThe BBC should join the real world - and secure its own funding entirely through advertising or evens like this - and not keep trying to milk more money from us when we had no option but pay in the first instance.

To be fair though, this isn't strictly a BBC event. I'm not sure why their name comes into it or how they're involved in the events (although, I'd guess that they're subsidising them in exchange for TV rights), but the event itself seems to be the work of Haymarket Publishing, an independant company that produces the Good Food magazine, along with various other sponsorship-heavy rags like What Hi-Fi.

Although, looking at the site, it seems that the event is sponsored by Sainsbury's, and is largely a publicity event for the magazine. I'm not sure how this doesn't constitute commercial advertising.
