Please shop responsibly. During the Covid-19 outbreak, we have been seeing a lot of community demand for basic household items. Please consider others and don’t stockpile - we all need to work together to ensure everyone gets what they need. If possible, perhaps offer to help older neighbours, family or friends by sourcing items for them.

How about enjoying the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend and the oh-so-needed British Summer Sun with the BBQ Box from Morrisons.

90% of that box is under £7.... chicken is super cheap....... at jj’s or makro can get 10kg of chicken breast 225grams each one for £21..... sausages are £4.80 a box of 50 (Cumberland) (when you go to the Turkish cafes they use even cheaper)

Again this box shouldn’t cost no more then £18 to make a decent profit and postage lol £30 Jesus talk about exploiting people

Emphasis on the word food in the BBQ Food Box But yes I get your drift there.
I guess one way to lower the death rate of Covid is to get everyone to die of heart attacks instead
This is not what we call a bbq. We have ribs, wings, pork chops, sometimes fish too. Plus we do loads of BBQ veggies. Helps that I spent 8 months in Tennessee in my early twenties.

Now I know why I cant find any liquor in the shops Please shop responsibly. During the Covid-19 outbreak, we have been seeing a lot of community demand for basic household items
Worst example of a BBQ I've ever seen
Where's the meat? That would feed a couple of kids.
Seems like a pretty good deal

Well I been doing bbq all week, Greek here and cafe owner. Been delivering meats and supplies to my street, 10kg of rice can be bought from cash in carry for £4, so been separating them into individual baskets 🧺 and delivering them whenever we stock up. They drop alittle donation to the cause which I appreciate but don’t ask. Again make your money work for you not you work for your money. The bundle here is £30 lol that is pure £23 profit for morison after delivery charge etc.
Is incredible how bad the Morrisons boxes are. As someone living in a village, no longer able to drive due to bad back, no one to be able to do food pickups for me- I need online food deliveries as my local shop (one stop) is either over priced or out of stock.
All the bit shops are a huge let down and Morrisons doing this crap, just feeds of the idea of greed of desperate people.
Rather eat a small amount of pasta a day in between the once a month ISH Asda delivery I can get due to slots.

Shocking how bad the country has handled this virus. It's like whenever it snows all over again.

These ~"box" deals are pretty much a rip off and the supermarkets know it, time to shift all the crud that dont usually sell and claim to be "helping out" because " we are all in this together", which they dont and they arent...cold
Very interesting that these price breakdowns are different :/

they use DPD delivery, so you need to factor this in which I think accounts for around £5 cost

Problem is, most of this is cheaper and better in Aldi and Lidl. Example, halloumi is around £1.65
Well I think it is a useful post, and a decent deal for anyone isolated, or does not want to spend time travelling to, and spending time in a shop looking around a shop for items which might be out of stock. Concidering present circumstances, it gets from me!

Too much table surface showing

They went in the recycling. Can you not see the rings they left

Yeah I think £35 is expensive really for what you’re getting from them!
It would make a decent base if you already had a seperate meat and drink pack, but far too expensive then.
That’s going to be one p155 poor BBQ!!
The opposite of "How not to die" .... And overpriced, too.
Did people still not get the message?
LOL who would buy this?

People who can't cook and use disposable bbqs, I guess.

In the end its just a post - whether its a deal or not is for everyone to decide for themselves individually right. What doesn't work for you, might work for others - why prejudge people.

And these boxes are consitently being voted hot. I bet Morrison's love HUKD helping them with the extra profit.
I appreciate that this helps those who are isolating and can't get a delivery slot or someone to shop for them. It's providing a service, of sorts. However, it is still a product launch and not a discount. Not a deal.
booboobeaker05/05/2020 12:43

Except you've just assigned fake prices to the items?

The first price burgers are £3
