Having recently tried the Pizza Hut Jackfruit pizza - (I wasn't sure but it was delicious which surprised me a little) , I cannot wait to try this version from Morrisons, it looks amazing! New instore (hopefully will be online soon) it's currently priced at £2.75 each or 2 for £5

We are not Vegans or Vegetarian but we are trying to live a little healthier, so we have been trying to eat meat free 3 days a week over the last year or so - this will make life easier since the kids do LOVE their pizzas

Wow didn't know about this. Thank you! Now i'll just sit back and wait for the comments about why do vegans want to eat things that taste like meat

What meat does jackfruit taste of?
I quite fancy trying this to see what the fuss is all about...hilarious that it's not suitable for Vegans though because of the manufacturing process!

If animal products aren't included as an ingredient I consider it 'vegan'. Worrying about manufacturing processes doesn't impact the animals, the environment or your health.

They usually put that to cover themselves in case of accidental cross contamination

I have never eaten it raw & ripe, but it is supposed to be sweet & taste a bit pineapple, mango and banana.

When it’s unripe, its is quite stringy, hence being used for pulled type recipes, it has a fairly neutral taste, so takes on the flavour of whatever sauce / seasoning you use

That doesn't mean that it's not vegan, it is vegan it just means that cross contamination cant be guaranteed due to the factory also handling animal products. Most times this just means that the food runs along the same conveyer or handled by the same benches and machinery even though all that stuff gets cleaned before they make vegan products. It's basically just a way for them to cover themselves.
Trendy
I will be trying these. They just need to use a sourdough base to go full-on hipster. Thanks for the heads up
I am an hypocrite, I love animals and wouldn't harm a single one but I eat meat, daily.

I will be trying this for sure, thanks.

It’s quite weird, meaty like pork, only tried it in a veggie pulled pork recipe but tasted ok in sauce
Fruit on pizza is a definite yes from me, but no cheese..

I walked in on Saturday, they are not just "Covering themselves, all the prep areas were covered in cheese, with how much a base would pick up it's the equivalent to a bite of real cheese, it's a 'vegan recipe' but not a vegan prep in the slightest hence they don't actually call it vegan because it's far from it.
For those asking what Jack fruit tastes like - it absorbs the flavour of whatever it is cooked in and has a lovely meaty texture to it.
You can get it tinned in syrup as well and uncooked has a sweet mango-ish taste to it.
Everyone should try it. It's a wonder fruit

I don't think you will be disappointed. I sounded like you, it didn't take me long to give it all up after I admitted what you just have. Wish I had done it a lot sooner though

Covering themselves at the bottom, Vegans might get their card taken away
