Anyone know if the table tennis top will fit the snooker table as well as the pool table ?

The dimensions of the table tennis top match the snooker table dimensions exactly. I gave them a quick call and checked for you: they could not confirm if it will suit the snooker table - they even called a store but could not get through!

The operative did say that if you buy both products and the top does not suit, then you could return it for a full refund, providing it is in it's original packaging.

It's up to you what to do - maybe call one of the branches and get them to check this out for you. I can do no more from here (we don't even have John Lewis in Northern Ireland!)

Good Luck anyway.

you're an absolute star.

I'm from NI myself, so I just assumed John Lewis wouldn't reply on a Sunday.

Think I might just treat myself to the snooker table............. or the pool table.............. decisions, decisions

Ooops didn't notice you were on the same land mass as me!

If you are going to get the table tennis top, then definitely go for the pool table, as we know for sure that it will fit. Personally, I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning something, expecially something as bulky as that. Let us know how it goes anyway
Anyone confirm that this is a good table.I've had a few cheap tables from Toys R Us and they have been terrible with cushions that don't bounce, tables that are deliberately curved to make the balls stick to the cushions etc.

Do the balls respond on here similar to a pub pool table?
This might sound a bit nerdy but my main hobby is pool ,so I'd like a good table.:-)
I'm not a big expert on these Snookums but I would guess that if you want a quality table you would need to get a full on slate table which is going to cost quite a bit more.

Saying that, I would think a £249 table from John Lewis has to be at least somewhat decent...or at least better than Toys R Us.
Thanks for that. You're right about the slate ones, but they are so incredibly heavy and I don't really have the room for a permanently set-up one.....:-(
With the £10 off code for new customers u can get this for £89 which is tempting.
Snookums - customer services say you can return it if you're not happy, as long as it's in a saleable condition with the original packaging. Do you want to give them a call and confirm this?

You're right, with the £10 code, it is a bargain!
I ordered this last night from John Lewis, and they're still in stock. The £50 off voucher worked a treat. As regards the free delivery, may I suggest adding a collander for £1. This takes you up to £100 exactly, so in effect saves you £2.95 of the £3.95 delivery cost.It was especially good for me, I needed a new collander too... ;-)A JL Snooker table and a Collander for £90, can't be bad!!!
Thanks for the update we8vale I presume you mean a £10 voucher and not a £50 one ...

Excellent spot for the free delivery too!
Thanks we8vale! And also good to know this is still in stock. Did anyone purchase one?
I've had a call regarding delivery, so it all looking good still as regards actually getting the table!! JL seem to be fairly accurate as regards what is and isn't in stock on the website.

The other advantage of ordering from JL has been the fantastic level of customer service I've had so far.

BTW, alas, I did mean £10 voucher off £50, not a £50 voucher!

Would be nice if I had enough room for one I'd prefer the pool table myself though
