Very reputable (if generally on the pricey side), but they have yet to make many inroads in North America (which is why you don't hear them talked about all that much on techtube channels).

German company (IIRC) with the design quality to match. I've got 5 of their PSUs for the various computers around the house (3x 500W and 2x 750W) and they really are completely silent, despite the fan. I can't hear them under load when my ear is right next to them over the rest of my computer (and given that the rest of my computer is optimised for silence: Noctua fans running on low RPMs and HDDs all replaced with silent SSDs that says something!).

The only reason I'd hesitate to recommend Be Quiet! outright is there are also other great, competitively priced options out there. But in regards to the quality and reliability of the parts I have not a single complaint.

I have a 350 watt one and it's been running non stop for over 2 years now. And it's also very quite
.

It's ironic seeing as you haven't heard of be quiet. To answer the question yeh the brand is good.

Pretty solid. It's a German brand mostly but they do now sell stuff over here. Their hardware is made by two other companies; HEC and FSP, this specific one is made by FSP who have a pretty excellent history as a manufacturer of power supplies with only a few blemishes. Often too expensive for what you get but if the price makes sense then in general I'd have no issues recommending a be Quiet! power supply.

Is this the best PSU deal out there at the min?

possible 650W edison for £64 from scan as well.

Got it yesterday, can confirm internals are very similar to the pictures shown below:

technic3d.com/rev…htm

Only difference is that the one in the review has an orange rim around the fan + it's semi-modular.
