Most places are selling the 2023 Annual for £2-3. Hardly a deal for a comic.

Each to their own, this deal is for people who buy the comic every week and is new content weekly. With the annual, it's a once a year thing. I agree the annual is worth it at a few quid though.

Epic! I used to always read the Beano and Dandy when I was younger!

This weekend at Wales Comic Con, Beano artist Nigel Parkinson was doing caricatures, me and the missus got one! Best £25 I have spent in a while hahaha.

I’m feeling incredibly old. £2.99 (usually) for the Beano? And it’s on shiny paper not newspaper where you’d end up with half of it on your fingers. Can almost smell the nostalgia

Haha, I subscribe to get it cheaper and earlier. I'm old enough to remember the front covers not being glossy (I'm 24) but not old enough to remember them being like newspapers, however I do have a collection of the old newspaper style ones.

What was that next to it, was it a Christmas edition of the Beano with a Lego bag?

The Lego isn't included, I think it's just one that another customer has left there. The actual Beano thing is the annual Beano Christmas Special Bookazine (weekly comic Christmas special goes on sale next week)
