Bearpaw Sheepskin Boots from £29.99 @ tkmaxx

Found 22nd Sep 2013
I'm usually an Ugg fan but money is tight this year and I can't afford them. I purchased a pair of Bearpaw boots in a tkmaxx store a few weeks ago and have to say I'm very impressed. They have been keeping my feet snug at a fraction of what I would usually pay.

The boots pictured are £34.99 but they have a range of different styles ranging from £29.99. Postage is £3.99 or free if you spend over £50.

Please note that sizes and styles are limited.

Why is this going cold? Has somebody found them cheaper somewhere else? They are less than half price and I haven't found cheaper.

these are really comfy and good quality had mine 3 years!

Wow, really? My £190 Uggs only lasted just over a year! I love my Bearpaw boots and will never waste money on Uggs again

What about if it's raining? Are they waterproof? Or snow proof?

Original Poster

If you want waterproof I'd purchase some wellies. Even leather shoes aren't waterproof. As for the snow it would be sensible to purchase some snow boots, as they help prevent slipping. There are wellies that are suitable for wearing in the snow too. If I find deals on either I will post them but for now I'm sharing things that I have been looking for and found a good deal on. So to answer your question I seriously doubt they'd be fabulous in torrential rain or the snow. Mine have been fine in showers.

I have my bearpaw boots on now and they are def on par with uggs if not slightly better. Very comfy and this price is awesome!

hot! very tempted by the suede ones they are lovely....hmmm what to do....

ooh thanks. had some of these before and they're brilliant!

Not a fan of these style footwear, but i understand that uggs are just like apple phones - overpriced for no good reason.

excellent boots well worth the money thank you

These look ugly

TK Maxx has become a real let down, thought a lot of the stuff in there was overpriced even in the clearance aisles.

Thanks for your input Dennis.

RedStar, it depends on what's available and when doesn't it. My local tkmaxx is great for footwear and jeans. Kids toys are no cheaper than anywhere else and I don't consider the knitwear to be good value at all. In stores it's a rummage and see what you can find.

Well I usually buy uggs but they are very expensive. I've ordered a couple of pairs, thank you.

Got a pair in TK Maxx a couple years back. They were fantastic until my hubby spilled black oil over them Great boots

just ordered a pair! eeeek what a deal!

Only transvestite sizes left now in the ones Iike

I actually laughed out loud/choked when I read that. I hope you aren't referring to size 6/7 as that's my size! Us tall girls need bigger feet otherwise we'd look rather silly if you have a tkmaxx store near by check it out, there were shelves of them in my local mostly in sizes for people with minuscule feet like yours

Have read reviews on amazon. They recommend ordering 2 sizes up as these are American sizing. Can anyone advise please ?

lovely books got some of these on sat

yes get a size bigger

It is American sizing. On the sole of mine it says size 8 but in store they had the usual stickers on that tkmaxx use and they stated uk size 6. I would assume they would do the same online too.

thanks!

im an 8 in bearpaw and thanks for the compliment not!! Lols

How many bears had to give up their paws to make these boots?

I bought these from the Milton Keynes Central store and have to say I am extremely impressed. I have also owned a pair of Uggs and for £30 these are not far off!! Okay the fur inside is not as silky smooth as the Uggs but for the price difference I would happily purchase these again.

Ordered 2 pairs
Cheers

As said before order 2 sizes up' my wifes old bearpaw are size 6 but shes uk 4 shoe size

Got myself a pair. Very happy. Watford store had US size 8 and 10, which is UK 6 and 8. Had plenty black ones but few chocolate coloured for any one interested in that area.

Cold as got uggs last week for £80. Had these before and didn't think much of them

yeah I saw your post last week and voted cold. If I remember rightly it was over £90. Personally I'd rather buy 3 pairs of these, Bearpaw are as good if not better than Uggs, all you're paying for is the name. Not sure why you felt the need to come to my post and vote cold after so long, after all your vote isn't going to make a huge difference to the overall heat of my post now is it...maybe you've got a bit of heat jealousy as your post obviously isn't a huge hit with HDUKers. Thanks for the visit. Enjoy your overpriced Uggs and be on your way. Good day.

The TK Maxx stores in Glasgow seem a bit confused about the US sizing, the boots were scattered all over the place, usually in the wrong size section. They had these ecx.images-amazon.com/ima…jpg Brandy II in purple but alas only one pair, in a size 4

So I went for these http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Bearpaw-Womens-Meadow-Short-Boot-Shoe-/00/s/NzUwWDc1MA==/z/uIkAAMXQPW5SHnDZ/$(KGrHqN,!qMFH9ywK3EiBSHnDY6nGQ~~60_3.JPG Meadow Short in blue, £34.99. The Meadow has a great walking boot-style sole, reinforced toe, they feel lovely and cosy...impressed so far. They only had a UK 8 (US 10) but I'm assuming I'll be OK..they fit fine and I'm just hoping they don't stretch!! I'm a UK 7.

There's a few threads on MSE where the general consensus is that Bearpaws are great, much more expensive over in the US, very popular over there and they last well. I'd much rather wear these than Fuggs that have the horrible, deathtrap foamy soles (I think those type of soles should be banned: even Primark Fuggs have rubber soles on them, and they're £6 this year!).

I have UGGs, bought last year from Branch309, but haven't roadtested them yet.

At the moment, they seem to be getting different stock in, and it's more variety in-store than online.

I don't go to TK Maxx as much as I used to (I really should as I have two quite near me) but apparently their returns policy has reverted back to the original one of a few years back.

Recently it was 14 days return, but it's now 28 days, and you don't have to go to the Customer Service section any more: you can visit any till with returns. Was told this yesterday by a friendly counter assistant. Hope it's useful to someone

I'm glad you managed to find some you like I've had mine about 3 weeks now, I wear them everyday and they still look new so I'm really pleased.

There are two tkmaxx stores in Reading but I only really go to one and the chap that looks after the shoe section now is very good at putting right shoes in the right section so we are lucky, previous to him working there it was a nightmare.

I saw a sign about the returns policy reverting back to the old one. Good news. And when I returned something I had to queue in the regular line.

Enjoy your boots

I first saw Bearpaws about two weeks ago (my sis has a pair of the Bailey Button-esque ones) but as I've had so many Fuggs that fell apart or had rubbish soles I wanted to make sure. So far, so good

TK Maxx seems to have more of the "cardi" style Bearpaws today (hate those, though). Even Superdry Fuggs (can't remember the price), and Emu short (in lilac) for £79.99. Might pick up more Bearpaws. I swore I'd never wear Uggs for years but they are SO comfy and cosy once you try them (I have a "real" pair)!!

These boots are excellent. Fantastic pricing. My store had a decent supply. I spray mine with scotch guard and they still look good!

I've got a question. Are they tall? I mean were the TK Maxx selling 10" or 12" tall? I have a second Bearpaw pair now and they are amaaazing! I will not come back to normal winter shoes like ever. and btw. on the bearpaw.com you have the size chart. and american 9 is a uk 7, etc. etc. Additional tip. Bearpaw has definitely changes it's sizes because I used to buy uk 6 and they were perfect but when I ordered another pair few months later they were too tight!! I need to wear size 7(uk) now.

They aren't selling the tall ones online at the moment but they are still selling them in store. I have the tall ones similar to the picture, I am usually a 6.5 but purchased a 6, once the sheepskin was trodden down a bit they fit perfectly. The Bearpaw with the toggle comes up smaller, I need a 7 in those. The design around the toes seems to be slightly different so maybe that's why sizing seems to be a little strange.
