What are gamegears like?

might be worth considering spending the extra £2 to get it from steam (not on sale for much longer though) but if you do that, no messing around with needing the disk or anything !

You dont need the disk in the drive to play the game once installed

Personally I'd rather buy the game on disk, so as to save a monster download

ah if you don't need the disk then thats good I personally despise having to keep swapping disks in and out so use steam if its cheap enough

although I do agree, a 6gb download is far from ideal! thank god for fibre optic broadband I guess

Code doesn't work?

now showing £19.99. so only pennies cheaper than steam

downloaded on steam this am quite good graphics, my last similar game was day of defeat: source

Worth noting this seems to need a bit of a beast of a machine. I have a Q6600 + ATI HD5770 and I get 25-30 FPS, whereas in Modern Warfare 2 I get ~90FPS

I think it's actually CPU limited, so if I upgraded / overclocked the CPU i'd probably see a significant rise, but i'd rather have a stable machine.

All the best,
Ash

The Q6600 is enough, its your GPU thats slowing you down. What res you running and at what details?

hd5770 is ment for 19 " widescreen with like res at 1440x900 type thing ...... hd5850 for up to 24" at 1920x1080 dont quote me but basicly about that...
like said above want max gfx at 1920x1080 on BC2 need 5850 and above ..... you can consider the 5830 but read most reviews they say to get 5850 insted

i play on core i7, 6gb ram, 5850, sata2 ssd + sata3 hd on 24" Led and GFX maxed and not problem what so ever !!! ...funny enough i had a q6600 before i got i7 :P so couild say it aint the cpu nor ram or hd will be the 5770 as i had a 8800GTX and tryed running crysis OMG how slow ...

1280 x 800 and everything set to low. Pretty much the same FPS for higher detail / resolution, therefore I doubt if its the graphics card.

Nothing else running in the background. I tried switching to DX9 (instead of auto), but not luck. I tried a weird suggestion of upping the Anisotropic filtering to 8x, but it made no difference.

Fine. I ordered Blur from them and it arrived within 48 hours.

I have a 5770 running on a core i7 pc and it runs fine. no issues. (yet i cant load things like secondlife but I assume thats my connection)

40 - 50 fps here
1920 * 1200 on a 26in Samsung. Graphics all maxed out to high
Q9550 on Asus P5Q Pro
HD5770
:-D

Showing as £19.99 now.

Yeah, everyone with faster FPS have a better CPU as I'd guessed. Unfortunately
