These headphones offer poor build quality and a unnatural biased towards bass.
Due to alot of celebrity endorsements they have gained huge popularity with sheeple.

You're better off buying a pair of Sonys at this price point or at the very least doing a tiny bit of research before wasting money on these.

Possibly for some Beats models but Solo 2 get very good reviews from audiophiles although they still do have a slight emphasis on bass. Build quality is actually very good.

Some Sony models are good and some quite poor, you cannot generalise that way.

No , Solo 3 wireless will be the ones you are looking for
Excellent earphones, and great price! I bought these for my daughter a year ago, at a higher price than this, which was a bargain at the time. I was not sure the hinges would hold up to a teenagers 'demands'! However they are far more robust than I had thought, and still going strong. So deffinitely recommended at this price!
Got these for christmas but in the berry red colour, so so good!
Great price but found these leaked noise.
Always been this price from before xmas

Really bad pair of headphones wit horrendous sound quality, they're better than beats solo hd but still theyre only worth about £40-£50. Do yourself a favour and get yourself some audio technica ath-m50x, if still in doubt read the reviews of them and then make your decision. Don't buy beats because of marketing and because they're cool, beats are the most overpriced headphones around which only sell due to good marketing, audio technica focuses on sound quality and not advertising.

‘On’ ear headphones will always leak noise.
That’s why I avoid them like the plague.

Over ear headphones all the way for me.
Worth paying a few extra quid for.

There are far better cans than Beats on the market as well.
Good deal!
Do they still have such overbearing muddy bass that the midrange is absolutely awful as a result?

No, but you should try yourself with an open mind rather than rely on what others say.

Anything earlier than a Solo 3 is poor. I had both Solo 1 and 2 and the sound quality is no better than a very cheap pair, and the build quality is shocking - even for £90
If you have kids begging you to appear hip with their Beats then by all means £90 is perhaps 'value', but otherwise steer clear.

That's the thing ,people love bass but I've always hated these

My son's original Solo's are still going strong 3 years later he wears them everyday and I've had 4 pairs of skull candy in that time so they are definitely worth the pennies

Okay if they where that bad why bother paying for solo2 an and then again at Solo 3 erm no sorry statement doesn't hold water
Had a pair of these and a pair of Beats EP - kept the EPs as I personally thought they sounded better and felt more solid, despite being the cheaper set of headphones. Midrange on the EPs feels sharper, although bass is reduced slightly, not that the Solo 2 has overbearing bass, just it is amplified somewhat.

“Blah blah blah...” Don’t some of you get tired of bleating the same nonsense everytime someone posts a deal for Beats headphones or whatever other products or devices you’re not fans of? People who want to buy Beats or these headphones will buy them anyway. Who cares?! I thought the core purpose of this site was about sharing the prices of products that may have been discounted or reduced relative to average price.

None of what you’ve said is objective. It’s opinion and that’s a fact! Even professional reviews are opinions, hence why they vary depending on who’s reviewing. Furthermore, personal tastes and how people interpret sound are possibly two of the most subjective human characteristics.

“Don't buy beats because of marketing and because they're cool...” Really?! I think I may have missed the bit where someone asked you to direct them on how to spend their money.

Just my opinion! Sorry if my words offend. Yes I'm hating on these headphones because I think they are over priced and people are being duped by marketing.

Of course we always get some die-hard beats fan. You definitely never listened to either pair of them did you? Im just trying to help some people out here, they're still free and can buy either headphones but they can at least give the other pair of headphones a listen before buying them, that's all I wanted to do because a few people will realise what they're missing out on.
I had a pair of Solo2s which lasted me just under a year before breaking. Fortunately, they broke just within the 1 year warranty period and were replaced free of charge. Unfortunately, the next pair broke exactly 1 year later. Terrible build quality.
