I have these and like them a lot. I went from B&O H9i to these and the sound quality is on par - though lots of people slate these for poor quality, probs because it’s apple?

My only criticism is that the exterior plastics on the cups feels like a Dacia’s dashboard...
I have this exact model too...love it
Me two .Love the colour and the noise canceling works great.

JL now have it at the same price if anyone is interested
Seems to be this price in most major retailers?

Beats were disliked as an audio brand long before they were bought by Apple. From their launch in 2006 up until about 2012 their entire lineup of headphones were really poor sounding (not just "poor for the price", like genuinely bad headphones) that sold like hotcakes thanks to genius promotion comprised of celebrity endorsements and product placements. Questionable marketing claims and poor sound quality garnered them a reputation as a glorified fashion accessory and for normalising the selling of overpriced plastic, even when they came up with a genuinely decent headphone in the Beats Pro they stopped themselves being taken seriously by outright lying in their promo material (it was also ludicrously overpriced). Around 2012/2013 they revamped the design of their products and started to produce some pretty good sounding headphones from the Solo 2 onwards, but by this time the premium headphone market had absolutely exploded and there were substantially better sounding headphones at lower prices, and that's still the case to this day to arguably an even wider degree.

As someone who has a pair of Beoplay H9i's and has tried the beats there is no chance they are on a par - not even close. One (the B&O) has every penny spent on quality and ensuring a detailed precise sound the other (Beats) have had most of the money spent on marketing with a sub par product produced both in terms of sound and build quality.

The reason you don't see B&O adverts is because they products quality spreads through word of mouth. The Beats use extensive marketing because the sub par products cannot carry the same prowess.

The beats may be much improved from the past, but still not on the level of B&O, Bose or Sony
