My wife sent me out yesterday for some hay-fever spray, she said normally £6 so delighted to see in Sainsbury's that they are indeed £6 each but in a section where it's £6 for 2 - other choices on medicine but this is the only one which is £6 for one so best deal - If you need it. The joy of the great British Summer!

£2.98 + £3.49 postage? I'll stick with the rip off £2.50 one thanks.

It's 200 sprays not 100. And the point is that people don't need to pay for 'branded' drugs. That was an example, and if you don't find anything else useful on that site to buy and pay postage for, then do your own search and find it on another site with cheaper postage.

So £6.50 rather than a fiver at Tesco or spend £40 to get free delivery.

Surely buying the cheapest that works branded or unbranded is the best option.

and btw, if you actually did the maths you'd find that if someone was after 400 sprays or more, it's still cheaper including the postage: 4 x 2.50 = 10 vs (2 x 3) + 3.50 = 9.50.

I take you're one of those that doesn't buy the 25p boxes of paracetamol... good advice is lost on some people - the point is that people could be saving hundreds a year buying non-branded equivalents which contain the same drug. If you're too lazy to do maths or use google search then you deserve to buy whatever you end up with.

400 is a lot without knowing the expiry date, a 100 bottle usually lasts me the summer.

If you do the maths it's probably cheaper on prescription in bulk.

You could always buy 14 of them and get free postage.

Again, you lack knowledge my friend. Some people use these all year round which 400 would be about right for, and they don't usually have expiry dates within a year. Time to make a brew and get on with my Sunday

Actually I buy branded or unbranded, whatever works out the best value as I mentioned in post 7.

I bet you're one of those who refuses to even look at branded to see if it works out cheaper, just taking the unbranded at face value.

i always buy the cheapo headache tablets but interestingly there is a placebo effect in buying expensive tablets that have flashy graphics. Ben Goldacre talked about it in his book "Bad Science"

whether that mild placebo is worth the extra money? anybodys guess
