Beef Biltong & Jerky - Various brands at ASDA Hemel Hempstead e.g Cruga Chilli Biltong £1.25

Popped in the afternoon and was pleased to see that my local ASDA have the following beef snacks reduced.

Cruga Chilli Biltong - 70g for £1.25
Cruga Original Biltong - 40g for £0.75
Wild West BBQ Jerky - 40g for £0.75
Willd West Original Jerky - 40g for £0.75

I've rarely seen Jerky and Biltong at such a low price so grabbed a few packs, though there are plenty left.

ASDA don't have this deal online so it looks to be store specific.

Looks like a good price and although I haven't tried all of those I have found in the past that cheap biltong just doesn't hit the spot. I get mine mail order from bigbeefysbiltong.com - it is much more expensive but IMHO you get what you pay for
I could eat biltong til the cows come home (at which point I would turn them into more biltong!)
I agree with randan, the 'proper' biltong tastes so much better but when needs must, a pack of this will suffice!
Edit: We do make it ourselves:34254373-0KrW6.jpg

I discovered proper biltong last week. It’s soooo much better than pre packed stuff. It also makes me laugh when the girl behind the counter asks if I want it wet and fatty!!

We use the rectangular Andrew James Dehydrator to get it going

What are some good uses of a Dehydrator? I don't want to buy one just to make Beef jerky / Biltong.. and I also heard you can make dog treats

Lol. Can't really help there. Ours is literally only for biltong!
You can dry fruit in there too but I have never tried personally.
Cheers OP just stocked up, the Cruga Biltong was 38p a pack...!!
