Noticed this. Had a look and didn't see it posted. Just saw the other Grocers' similar pricing. Just says Beef roasting joint so I guess it is pot luck what you get. My one looks like topside or silverside but as it is vacuum packed hard to tell.

HTH somebody

It's a Sunday roasting joint, either topside or silverside.

I am not far above sea level as we live in Cornwall not too far from the coast.

Why are you curious about my altitude?

Any yorkie pud to go with that

And GRAVY, of course...

Not forgetting a kondiment with a kick! Horseradish sauce or Colman's English mustard both do the trick lol

if it doesnt say on the pack what cut it is then its probably chuck which is not such a good deal

It varies. I got a silverside one today. It's a good deal.

They wouldn't vacuum pack silverside. As said will probably be the cheaper cuts like brisket.

I think you'll find they'll vacuum pack anything (to give it longer shelf life).

Just an indication this offer likely was not packed in store but off site.

Promotion like this you need to build up stocks a few days in advance: all the meat needs trimming, tying with butcher's knots and wrapping.

Mine's not chuck or brisket.

It's a Sunday roasting joint, either topside or silverside.

I bought a couple of these last week. Cooked one on Sunday it was delicious. It cost me just over £5 and did two of us three days plus rolls and sarnies. Very tender AND tasty, the two do not always go together.

They are one or the other.Trust me I work there.Either topside or silverside.Corner joints are really nice !!!

if you work there then you will know that the stuff bought in at the butchers dept is of inferior quality to what they do in store and thats from the horses mouth (butchers words not mine @ Morrison) as it were

How can you say such a comment when you don't even know the difference between those 2?

well thats pretty much stopped these arguments then..........................................................unless of course,,,,,, (no it doesnt matter lol)

well thats pretty much stopped these arguments then

Not an argument as such..

If you are a butcher and you call this joint of meat topside or silverside then you obviously don't know the difference so i wouldn't be buying from where you work.
