Great Deal This.

I play off a handicap of 14 & let me tell you there is loads of cheap golf club sets doing the rounds these days.

Longbridge is a good brand & the irons will be good quality

HOT for anyone thinking of starting or for any golfer infact

ooh..I'm starting to learn to play - so don't know much about golfing brands...

...so The Cannie Buyer - would you think this is half decent to practice my swing with, AS WELL AS being actually able to play with them, and also practice on the driving range???

...also you say LongBridge is a good brand - but (dunno if its a typo by Woolies) it says LongRidge on their site - could it be a case of playing off a better brand name (ie the brand is actually LongRidge, and it's one of those companys which is named to be close to a much better known brand competitor (e.g. Macrosoft and Microsoft))?

...also you say the irons would be of good quality (I note they're steel, while the woods are graphite shaft)...so the woods are not so good by LongBridge???

Many thanks for your replies in advance! ;-)

Go for it (fantastic deal) I don't think you could get better for the money.

Sorry my mistake (meant to say longridge)

Longridge (a company owned by Bridgestone i belive)

It is normal to have graphite shaft woods & steel shaft irons - if you are starting up or the sort of player who plays a couple of times a month this has to be a must.

Buy them, use them, & & after a couple of years if you decide golf is not for you - ''sell them'' for £30-40 odd quid in you local paper.

This has to be a no brainer & i have just bought a couple of sets to sell them on to people who have more money than sence at my local club, who will snap my arm off at £99

GO FOR IT - TAKE THE PLUNGE - ENJOY YOU GOLF

I see...I think at this price it's got to be worth a shot (no pun intended) anyways - and The Cannie Buyer has just reinforced that view!!!

Thank-you for your thoughts Cannie Buyer - much appreciated insight from an experienced golfer like yourself!!!

Oh thanks Babbler...missed the extra 10% voucher available! So just re-ordered again with the voucher applied, and sent an email to try and get my original order cancelled...

...let's hope Woolies CS is up to a good standard (otherwise I can envisage a good "swinging" match...;-) )

Cool, was looking for a beginners set. Thanks, heat added...when I work out how.

EDIT: Up for Hot
