Lets all order things that come from china seeing as they have brought the world to its knees
For those people refuse to put facemask to protect themselves and more importantly to protect the others. As you will reduce a lot of chance to passed the virus to other people if you have a condition via your breath and sneezing, where you have a face mask.
Be honest, look at Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Korean, Those nation, all their people wearing a mask and look at their figures. You will know the reason of it.40202284-Hu8FU.jpg

Please be careful when you buying a facemask, especially made in China. There are a lots of reports about those poor quality and fake facemask in Hong Kong, which provide no protection at all. Even It say Made in Japan, which still just the paint only. All the real facemask are provide manufacture name and their address printed on the box. Take care and Be Safe everyone.
They should be ashamed of themselves.
If you are in Luck, try those screwfix or other big names in UK. If they have facemask graded to FFP3, that will be doing the work as surgical face mask or even little better. Good Luck and Be Safe everyone.
Unless you have a mask that has a 100% complete seal around the mouth and nose plus something that covers your eyes all you're buying is false hope

Plus you need face fit training and make sure the mask is correctly sized to achieve correct face fitting
I'd rather have no mask than wear one inadequate or not fit for purpose

FFP3 rating is there for a reason
I hope all these companies ripping everyone off if times off need go bust.

I managed to get some FFP2 masks from Screwfix. The only ones I could find in the city
Has anybody noticed that masks only help if you’re near somebody infectious.

Just avoid going out.

I believe N95 is the American equivalent of European FFP3 which these claim to be.
But as others said I wouldn’t trust these especially if not sealed etc.

These are just better than the 3 Ply ones and where can you buy these type currently anyway. It's just a little added protection that’s all

Please click the following link to read. Lots of information how to wear a mask and how to make one to fit yourself. It was published by the retired professor of Hong Kong. The page link have English, Chinese, even some Japanese and Korean as well. I have made some for my family and my neighbour. Even the nurse say it fit so well. Good luck and be SAFE!

Its down to the person following the guideline or not. Wash your hand, take off the face mask, wash your hand, wash your face then wash your hand again. Its difficult, that why lots of people not following it. If you following it, you will be fine. But will you?

Even if face masks have a 0.00001% chance of protecting me from getting the virus and spreading it to my family and relatives, i'll take it, I think everyone should and not be the guy who sprouts "it's only to stop the people who have the virus from spreading it to other people", it's this nonsense which is allowing the spread of the virus, you're basically saying anyone who wears a face mask has the virus, which if you think about it, it's ridiculous, and it's also actually making it shameful for people who do decide to wear it for that extra protection, and then they get bullied for it? Also if it does stop the spread of the virus, then shouldn't you wear one as well? Or do you trust the general public to put their own face masks own when they don't even know they have the virus themselves. Why are you willing to take chances when it could be you spreading it to your family, friends and other people, perhaps value humanity a bit more..

I'm not too afraid of getting the virus myself, but the fear is getting the virus and spreading it to my family and friends and other people, that responsibility is too much for me, and it'd haunt me for the rest of my life. So I urge everyone to be sensible and do whatever it takes to keep your loved ones safe (as long as you're not harming others while doing it). Also, consider why half the world are wearing face masks, while you still believe it's not useful, honestly, do some research and also make sure you analyse where the information is coming from and why they might be saying it, before making your OWN decision on whether it's useful or not, don't follow blindly, especially times like these, where even governments are limited in their powers to control the situation and may say anything to stop mass panic, be safe everyone, wear your face masks and wash your hands

Edit: I wouldn't think £5 is very much to protect a human life/lives, do you? It's a meal from mcdonalds, i'm sure everyone can actually afford that, priorities... I'm not saying to purchase from this seller, but shop around, and hopefully do find something suitable

You probably don't have an all singing, all dancing HazMat suit like I do but a home-made Hazmat suit designed for residential use will do just fine!

ffp3 on ebay starting at £20 to bid. By the way it's well documented fact that Chinese gov. encouraged it's citizens living all around the world to buy out PPE and send it back to homeland well before Christmas and at the beginning of this year. Not saying that this is the only reason why there are no PPE but maybe this is why we havent got enough supplies and are made to buy from them for higher prices. Stay safe.

Hadn't heard of that, i'll look into it, thanks, although I also doubt any country would actually have enough ready face masks to deal with an outbreak like this, especially considering majority of face masks are produced in China, even they didn't have enough face masks for themselves, now if UK had said to the public that face masks are useful but are unable to provide it for them, imagine the panic. Prices on face masks will increase for a time, but then eventually as people get educated on the virus and know how to deal with it independently, i.e living and adapting to the change, I think the prices will even out a bit, especially since China has now also stabilised a bit, and factories are open again and producing
makes little difference, today whilst shopping and observing 'social demise' I noticed that despite all the blurb, folks just grabbed their trolley's and basket without a clue.... I not fully onboard with the devastation of it all, but at least I wiped the trolley handle
So, how come the picture on the packet (deal picture) shows a valve on the right hand side, but the other picture in the listing shows the right had side of a mask with N95 printed on it with no valve...

Anyhow, having read an item where they tested a number of Chinese masks, chances are the N95 claim is fake, I wouldn't even trust it for protection from coarse dust, and you might just as well rap your face with horded toilet paper.

what i meant was the people think they are *protected* from it by wearing a mask, for most people you are not.

It is predominantly transmitted by droplets on surfaces and by touch.

You touch something it gets on your hand (or on your gloves, or a mask,) then you touch your face/eye/mouth at some time as we all do many times without even thinking.

The correct use when wearing a face mask should also include wearing nitrile gloves when donning and doffing your PPE properly and ideally you should have also been properly 'Fit tested' prior to know that you have the right size and shape mask for your facial features to ensure the mask makes a correct seal around your face and mouth otherwise its pointless

additionally If you have a beard gents then a mask isn't going to work for you

I certainly wouldn't want to use or rely home made mask to protect me its just not worth the risks

I am not asking you to use the home made one if you can get the real surgical mask to use. Its only for the people just like myself, can not get any luck to buy one. it better than nothing, right!
Read my other previous post, there were a facebook link, click in there, lots of other link to provide information about facemask in Chinese and English. He was a retired professor from Hong Kong and all his information has been researched and tested. Good luck and Be SAFE!

The N9's closest relative in the UK is the FFP2. Our FFP3 offer a higher level of protection. As long as its fitted properly and seals fully. I might as well give the full explanation. All FFP masks need to be fitted and tested to ensure a seal, all those wearing surgical masks are getting little protection, studies has shown its a little less than a ffp1 mask as they do not seal, they are primarily designed to stop you breathing onto a person when a sterile field is required.
