£199 for a 1500 spin A++ rated washing machine seems to be a great price, its also a larger capacity 7kg load and with a larger porthole that opens the full 180 degrees.

Ordered one this afternoon and getting (free) delivery for tomorrow.

Programmable timer and digital display.

To extend the warranty through square trade on amazon seems to be £39.99 for 3 years (including accidental damage) so if warranty's are your thing that seems the best deal.

Also includes £50 voucher to use against a £200+ purchase between 12th and 25th Sept

When unpacking there is a block of polystyrene underneath too as well as transit bolts, didn't see any mention in the bnook about it and neither did Bulletrizz in post 44 (credit to the guy for pointing this out)

I bought one too this afternoon when I was I store they said it was 23 pounds delivery but when I got home it was free online on a sunday

great price. bought 1600 rpm version for £240 a month ago.

I bought the 1300 spin version of this machine a few months back for £189, seems a good machine so this is a good deal for the 1500 spin jobby.
Mainly I bought it because our last Beko washer lasted just over 7 years.

Ours is replacing a 9 1/2 year old candy, it still works but needs the pipes degunking badly as it leaves a smell if not run for a day, i'm going to strip it down for motor/pump/controller etc and job lot them on ebay as I also have a spare set of just about everything in the loft too as someone had the same model 2 weeks old but managed to snap the door off.

Found this bad review buy a buyer on the Which site which has put me off buying this one - shame really as all the info on it sounds really good:

which.co.uk/hom…ws/

good deal but can't get it delivered, both of my cards have been rejected...

They will also take away and dispose of your old machine for free, when they deliver this new one.
Which I took advantage of.

I am wanting to salvage the drum for a planter/garden feature
http://themicrogardener.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/washing-machine-cylinder-planter1.jpg for tha magnolia from this deal
plus the other parts for either ebay or freecycle. The rest will most likely be taken same day by one of the scrappys who drive by daily, the longest scrap metal has lasted on our fronts is about 2 hours if put out during the day.

Indesit dude not Beko, no worries of these exploding.

Its the spontaneous combustion you have to worry about instead.

Seriously whilst there have been past safety incidents with Beko appliances (if you look its many manufacturers not just beko) the difference to me is Beko are quicker to put their hands in the air and admit it, whilst chasing down purchasers to inform them.

Spend a couple of quid extra and get £50 voucher???

Probably you're using liquid, powder is much better.

The powder for whites usually has some bleach in which helps keep the smells/gunk at bay. oO

Been using liquid for 9 1/2 years and used on average more than once per day (only the odd day goes by without a load being done often two loads) but since I bought it I have run soda crystals through it weekly to clean it, The smell is more like a rotting/mouldy rubber smell so it would have probably been a case of replacing the pipes rather than cleaning.

The machine owes me nothing as in the time since I bought it the only part I replaced was the plastic door catch at a cost of about £8 (it was the day after I had bought it and fitted it I had the complete machine given for spares - typical!!!) after the Mrs snagged it on a pair of jeans and snapped it orf

I wouldn't read too much into that, bought one in Feb for £239 and its brilliant. So many different settings to choose from and easy to use.

Oh no, its a Beko. Don't get me started. Steer well clear!. They're cheap for a good reason

Hey

I've just bought my first flat and need to buy a washing machine. I don't have access to the Which? reviews and am overwhelmed with choice on market. Calling any enginners or Which? members for advice!

So far, I'm choosing between a beko, baumatic and/or zanussi washing machine. Any recommendations? I can't really afford more than £250 and would ideally like a good reliable brand.

Spec would be 6/7kg, 14000rpm and good energy efficiency. Currently looking at the Beko WMB71642W. Anyone own this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

We have that Beko, pbrown4. Very happy with it so far!

Picked up a 8kg hotpoint from tesco online for 235 after their £25 voucher code

We have had this machine now for over a year without any problems, great washer, we make use of the delayed start option so we can wash during the night on economy7 then peg washing out first thing in the morning or before going to work. I paid £229 online at the time versus £299 in shop at Currys

Baumatic are bought in Chinese tat these days (either Midea or Haier) and will have very poor or non existent spare part availability.
Zanussi, bottom of the Merloni group, Italian design, Chinese made, but at least somewhat repairable.
Beko, honestly cheap, WYSIWYG. Good spare part availability and service. Does well in Which? tests. Make sure you get a Turkish made model NOT a Russian one!!!

I have an AEG and basically its an over priced zanussi, since The parent company is Electrolux and the horror stories I heard about baumatic from a work m8 would put me off. My sister owns a Beko and it seems ok and in teh time we have had our AEG I have had 2 visits and that was teh door cracking, my sisters runs virtually all teh time without hassle.

Thanks for everyone's comments. What about an LG? Have found a refurbished LG F1256QD. It has a direct drive - not quite sure of this...

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Does anyone have any idea how long this offer will run for or how far into the future you can have it delivered?

I'm moving into a new rented (washing machine free) house at the end of September and would prefer to buy it then or have it delivered once I've moved in...

Cheers

I believe its only on offer for this bank holiday, as far as future delivery just try adding to basket, you can select date then, see whats available.

Edit: just tried and the farthest date it shows for me is 15th September

Always worthwhile having a look on bootskitchenappliances.com/ if your an advantage card holder as you'll get points too and what do points make ?...
Anyways, we bought a Beko similar to AK48 a while back and it runs like a dream with various eco settings upto 1600spin and has a nice self clean setting so no nasty smells. I'd quite happily recommend to anyone

I got this almost 2 years ago its a good machine but it has started to make a funny noise whilst in motion, also currys said they would take away my old one but they just left it in the street outside, however it was gone in half a day someone else swiped it. I now stay clear from currys pc world !

Original Poster

Delivered earlier, now I've installed it and give it a empty run as per instructions and its very quiet, you know the noise a kettle makes when it starts heating up? a low sort of humming noise - well thats the best way to describe it.

Hot hot deal, thanks for posting! Been looking for a good deal on a resonable brand washer for around £200 for a while. I wanted 3 things, delay timer, good A or A+ rating for efficency and at least 6Kg load. This ticks all the boxes and has the bonus of the £50 voucher for me to use on a future purchase which I'll use as we need a new fridge/freezer for when we move house soon. thanks! I've placed my order and having it delivered in a couple of weeks as we don't need it yet

From what someone said it seems if you order instore delivery is added on top @ £23 good luck with the move, it can be a proper PITA. The only goodside to moving is you have to "christen" each room with the Mrs

I'm in a similar position to you and I was able to arrange for delivery on the 30th September, they also said I could phone to re-arrange if needed. Also, delivery is free.

I decided to sign up for the warranty(£4 P/M) and the sales person knocked £8 of the price of the machine to pay for the Warranty whilst I await delivery.

Very happy, and thanks to the OP

You got 99 bargains but that warranty ain't one

Seriously though thats £48 for the year, go via square trade its £39.99 (ish) for 3 years (which includes accidental damage too).

Edited by: "harlzter" 26th Aug 2013

Thanks it's a non contract warranty so I can cancel at any time. I've not heard of square trade before, so I'll have a look
