I recommend going and seeing all these fridges in store I went to look and was shocked to see that my 10 year old fridge had more freezer space that even 800 pound fridges not to mention the terrible design on the shelves, particularly on these ones that pull out, they look like they won't take more than 10-12 kgs

Voted hot BTW as its still a great price

I remember seeing this at a Costco and being less than impressed.
The FridgeMaster American Fridge Freezer has only 428l compared to this at 462l total, even though it looks smaller. Won't need a new one until I have a new kitchen in 6 months, but already starting to think about appliances. I know I like the FridgeMaster layout as I had a silver one before, although I sold it when I moved houses. Think I Might have already have answered my own question 😋
They should have this in currys because I saw one. Not sure if exactly the same model tho

That's partially new standards, you will likely find the energy efficiency difference between what you have and a brand new one is pretty significant. Unfortunately the only real way to make them significantly more efficient is insulation, which does improve per unit volume, but sometimes you just need more of it.

Yes buts to do with the energy consumption what's that got to do with how badly designed the freezer compartments are. What I'm talking about how small the freezer unit area is on these new fridges, and how badly designed it is, I've seen 800 pound fridges that had glass shelves in the freezer area with no stop at the front so that stuff would fall off if you stacked it on making it rather useless in my opinion.

I've also seen ones just like this one and was disappointed at how flimsy the counter lever mechanism seemed, no way that will take the load once you put some packs of mince meat a turkey and other things in there.

Went looking for a replacement for mine and realised that almost regardless of my budget I won't be getting a better fridge.

That's just personal preference, if you look around you can find plenty old fashioned style freezers that are just fine, these are just a totally different style so it's not an apt comparison. If you look at a lot of LGs for example most of them aren't novel or new just bog standard, but a lot more energy efficient. On a personal note I don't think a glass shelf vs a drawer would make a huge difference to me, I think I might actually prefer a half and half freezer like that.

You also likely don't need to spend that kind of money, you certainly can spend a lot, but if it's replacing something 10 years old that was a grand for example you would only have to spend half that to get something much better now just because technology and design has marched forward.
1 year warranty for peace of mind.
Beko and peace of mind. dont think so they have a terrible record.
In the past 500,000 Beko fridge freezers made between 2000 and 2006 have a fault with the defrost timer that can cause a fire.
They sat on there hands before being forced to recall them.
Beko no thanks.

But that's just like alot of company's that supply appliances, they all have some trouble down the line. You're talking about something that happened 20 years ago.

Seems very sparse to me. I'd expect 3 years min, ideally 5 years. Especially would want on a slightly budget brand like Beko. Ao.com have section of fridge freezers with 5 warranty. Also John Lewis known for their warranties.

Most companies give multiple years warranty where it be replacement or replacement parts, for Beko previous issues I wouldnt say one year warranty gives me piece of mind, no vote eitherway but the price is good.

Never buy Beko! Bought one for my mum a few years ago, literally a few days after the warranty ran out it messed up.
They sent out an engineer and had to replace the condenser. Then it messed up again and again, and we couldn't be bothered to throw any more money at it.
Pay a bit more, get something better..
Late to the party, but DO NOT BUY.
We have had 3 delivered from AD in the last 5 days and each one had a broken off handle. All three with the exact same fault and they are ignoring it and continuing to sell them, even though they are aware. Their service has also been nothing short of farcical, stay clear if you can from someone who took up this deal 😩
