Never bought a fridge freezer in my life and I’m now looking for a FF. Is it worth the extra money for say a frost-free model? I know AO are doing one for around this price (Fridgemaster).

@M0nk3h I'd say so yes. Otherwise ice gradulaly bulds up and every year or so, you have to completely empty it, turn it off overnight and defrost it, which ends up with water going everywhere and is a faff.

God yes!
Hey all, just be wary, I wouldn't normally do this but my experience with Currys over the past month has been absolutely horrific. Ended up cancelling an order today for a freezer I paid for on 16 March - they still have none in stock 31 days later despite saying they will deliver within 21 days. I know we need to expect disruption during this crisis but Currys have literally not communicated at all and I only managed to get a refund after waiting for 2 hours on hold today.

Don't take my word for it, go to Trustpilot and look at the nosedive their rating has taken. They have literally done nothing to communicate with customers during this crisis and don't deserve your money until they fix this, in my opinion.

100% agree with this as I’m in the same boat. Spent over an hour on hold (had to give up as got a more important call) as I want to cancel an order I placed in early March. No communication from Currys at all and can’t get hold of them - not even sure the customer number is a freephone one either.

what-does-frost-free-mean

You may get a phonecall from AO trying to offer you insurance cover (as will Currys). personally i've never had to claim for or return any appliance and that includes factory seconds, however if you did want the cover, i'd be more inclinded to go with AO
