What you heard was nothing but hot air

Nothing wrong with Beko.

Heat added.

I believe there are loads of manufacturers that have had their tumble dryers recalled (even some expensive brands).

I have a Beko tumble dryer in the bedroom cupboard, but have a smoke alarm above it and also try not to use it whilst we are out, but I would do the same for any tumble dryer.

I think the problem comes when people do not clear the filters or condenser and the fluff bungs it up and that catches fire.

Have had an older model 5 years. No sensor in it, but dries clothes perfectly. Used about 3 times a week and hasn't skipped a beat.

I have this (Black) and its the best drier I’ve purchased yet. Always had vent driers but plumbed this one in so it’s great!!

Not in a cold place? Why not?
What happens to it if its put in our unheated shed rather than our kitchen

Decent drier but they are usually discounted to this price in most sales. I brought the older Beko model sensor drier about 5 years ago, still going strong, just a cosmetic button broken but still works when pressed hard. I paid £150 in a sale. The sensor function works reasonably well and means you can leave it to switch off on its own.

Surely because its a condenser dryer it actually benefits from the difference in temperature better?

There was a recall on some Beko models manufactured between May and Nov 2012.

More recently Whirlpool manufactured dryers (Hotpoint, Creda, Indesit, Swan, Proline) had a much larger recall.

not really mate when I had it outside under a varanda it would never be able to dry clothes fully on a cold damp day
now it is inside the house in a utility room and it works a treat.

they even mention in the manual that this drier needs to have a good temperature to work effeciently. it kind of defeats the point of the object as most people will look to store this in a garage or outbuilding I'd imagine.

Why's that? I was planning on putting it in the garage...

It works on the temperature of the room the dryer is in
If the room is too cold it will not dry

Id suggest reading the manual and reviews before u but
