Great dyer bought it from very a few week ago for same price, 4yr warranty was an extra £19.99 when I purchased it

Good price, but the annual running costs aren't great:

sust-it.net/ene…=19

If you really want to save money, it is often considerably cheaper over the lifetime of the machine to buy a slightly more expensive model.

it's a fab machine! we paid more than this for it. large family here and it's been a workhorse machine. you could get the heat pump one but it takes about twice as long to dry but is cheaper to run. this one is b rated which isn't bad really. have whatever happens cover too which is worth it. be about £2 a month at this price.

I did consider paying an extra £120+ for a heat pumped version of a tumble dryer, but then worked out it would probably take around 5 years to save that money and decided against it as it may go wrong before that and will need to replace it anyway.

Yes we have this one as well and I'm very impressed with it.

I know it's a couple of years back but Beko don't have a great safety reputation. better be safe than sorry. itv.com/new…es/

Brilliant dryer highly recommend. It dries the clothes very quickly.

Old news, they've upped their game since.

Could some tell me if there is a pipe at the rear of the machine to enable to plumb the dryer in rather than empty the tray. Thanks

Maybe should provide an extra link to a good smoke alarm?

Yes there is that facility & you get a hose supplied also.

That's brill. Thanks

Beko... Keep clear or buy extended guarantee. Didn't have a good experience with the one I got last year

Got this a month ago for the same price, it's fantastic.

No more moisture in the kitchen and yes, you can send the condensed water straight outside.

The previous dryer we had was a Creda T520VW which according to Hotpoint support, is not on their list of tumble dryers that burst into flames.

I disagree because on close inspection, the machine was full of fibres inside (warped black venting tube waas the problem)

Proline and Swan have been added to the list of Hotpoint, Creda, indesit so i'll be avoiding all those brands from now on.

This Beko will be as good as aany at this price.

Hotpoint support have as yet to contact me as they promised me 2 months ago

I've only asked them 12 times though!

Thanks for your review. Have had a trusty swan for 12 years (outlived three washing machines). Still going strong but after decorating wanted a different look for my kitchen. Will purchase this Beko. Sounds brill.

free fire extinguisher included !!

excellent price

Agree, these are very good. Shame there is no stainless steel drum like similar Bosch (what you're paying extra for with a Bosch), I got this for my Mom, and she was very pleased, simple to operate. 7Kg Version I think.

I suppose less to go wrong, Digital displays and condensation, are never a good mix.
Seems to be a facelift, rather than changes to the design. Fluff filter is easy to access on both of these. You can plumb them in too, so you don't need to use the top drawer to empty the water tray by hand (the one we have you can, came with kit too)

Just compared each on the beko website

Virtually the same except for the display, seem the dcx is a currys only model too

Sample of one is meaningless (except to you of course). Beko reliability in valid surveys is up there with Bosch and way better than other 'budget' brands.

Still have our 36 year old wedding present one, supplied by Eastern Electricity when they existed!

These were made when they were built to live past their guarantee period.

Good price for a tumble dryer but poor brand, it's been in the news when the ignite and had many recalls due the dryer being faulty. I would buy a quality brand like aeg

I habe the heat pumped version - and it's saved me loads in comparison to my old vented white knight. You soon notice the difference. I had it 4 years now and it's never missed a beat. Well worth the money

I bought a dryer few months ago from John Lewis who told me there was recall with some makes and models of dryers, that's why they were having difficulty with stock levels.

can any one say if there some advantage in getting standalone tumble dryer compared to washing machine and dryer together? I feel both are same

Separate machines means you can replace the faulty one when it fails.

Also if you have a lot of washing you can be drying the first load the same time the second load goes in so it's a lot quicker.

I agree. I had washer/dryer for three months before I sold and replaced with separates. Was frustrating waiting for the dryer to finish before another wash load could go in. Ok if you have very little washing.

Worth noting that the John Lewis one comes with an additional years warranty, free of charge!

Best to keep quiet if you don't know what you're talking about!

Hi, Just had ours delivered... The display is really really dim, have to shadow it so that it becomes barely visible. Anyone else have one and can tell me what their display is like?
