interesting that it's got cheaper looking for an induction hob any users or comments

In store? can I use my diamond club discount and get 19.80 off?

Thank you OP.

Beckton branch (London) had 10 of these in stock, I got one this afternoon, just as you go in to the entrance on the left.

Just picked one up in the Poole store for my parents. After looking online this price is extremely good! As Op mentioned normally pay more for just the hob or oven alone.

Is anyone able to tell me if the oven comes with a plug socket, or does it have to be hard wired?

Got the email about this and would have posted myself if you hadn't already. Heat.

Very limited info on B&Q website.

I think they all come with a plug these days.

Just bought this today - it doesn't come with plug and needs hard wired - but it's a bargain the oven is over £200 alone elsewhere and the induction hob looks really smart. Great find thanks!

does it come with a fire extinguisher?

You need to hand wire this yourself.

Yes and a free joke book.

plug it in, if it blows 13 amp fuse then yes

I can't imagine any oven coming with a plug it'd want to pull more than the 13A max, i've seen some hobs that can be set to input Amps so it can be set to 13A and use a normal plug but i'd imagine it'd seriously impact usage.

You'd expect both to be hard wired although you'd probably be ok with them both on the same circuit but will depend on your current cabling, breakers and of course the needs of the appliances.

I have an induction hob and I hate it It wasnt a cheap one either. Its hard wired. When I use more than 1 of the rings the heat reduces. There is no way I can use the 4 rings as just barely heating. I hate it. I am sure it must be the actual make and model I have picked and not all are like that. I am definitely going to be changing it soon as fed up with it.

Looks a cracking deal. I work at Ikea and the cheapest induction hob we sell is for £275.

Many are 13 amp rather than the 30 amp type. Means that it cant draw enough power to heat all the rings...

Sounds to me that it has been set up wrong. Some have the ability to reduce power depending on the max supply rating, this is set on install though can be changed.

If someone has purchased this, can you confirm what the AMP output is for both the oven and hob? Thanks!

Just bought one from B&Q Nursling - there was one left on display. The hob is 7.2kW and the oven is 2.5kW, just opened the box and both oven and hob look good, just need to fit them now.

We also had a £10 off voucher from B&Q club so paid £188 :-)

There is no plug on either appliance - there is a flex on the hob and nothing on the oven

For anyone wanting to know the models..

Oven - QIM223X
Hob - QHI64

I assume the Hob will draw 32amps so will need to be hard wired - unless anyone else know a different way of doing this.

That isn't normal. Maybe faulty? Maybe a crap hob

It's perfectly normal, the last Neff induction hob I fitted has three selectable power levels depending on the supply rating (13, 16 or 20 Amp).

Some hobs can run on a 13 Amp supply, though don't guess or assume.

Big fan of induction hobs: brilliant. Heated for the price.

What does that have to do with it? He's telling us that with all 4 rings on it barely heats the pans... And you're saying that's perfectly normal?!?!
Edited by: "joebuckton" 31st Jan 2016

Pan fell on our induction hob the other day and cracked it.

I was paraphrasing the Neff manual. Feel free to do some power calculations, 13 Amps divided into 4 'rings' = reduced power. Multiple exclamation marks doesn't seem to have made your point true, maybe use more next time.

He has it hard wired so likely not reduced power. And "4 rings just barely heating". You can do as many calculations as you want but that isn't correct.

What's the model number? It may be possible to fix a setup issue.

Beko are consistently very highly rated on Which? They have vastly improved over the last few years. I have slowly changed my Smeg to Beko and am impressed.

I agree. They also get good reviews from customers as well. We have had a Beko upright freezer for 3 years (they are one of the few manufacturers who will guarantee their freezers to work in an unheated garage) and a Beko fan-assisted oven for a year now and are very happy with them both. Their ovens come with a 2-year guarantee as standard too. The only slight niggle is that the connector on the back of their ovens is fairly small so can be a little fiddly to hard-wire. 3% cashback via quidco too.

By the looks of it no cable is supplied for the main oven which is pretty standard
