I've been on the lookout for a small freezer. I wanted a frost free one as they are lower maintenance. This was a great price to begin with at £200 - now £10 off. Beko seems to be a good brand for appliances. I bought a washing machine made by the same company (which was also good value) a year ago and have been really happy with it.

Not the cheapest freezer around but great value. It's cheap to run so will save you money in the long run over a really cheap one with a less efficient rating...

Freezer specifications:

Energy efficiency rating: A+.
Energy consumption: 184kWh per year based on standard test results for 24 hours.
Storage capacity 2.6 cu ft.
Net frozen food storage volume 75 litres.
Noise level 43dB.
Fast freeze function.
Frost free.
3 storage compartments.
2 plastic drawers.
Reversible door.
Anti-bacterial protection.
10 hours power failure safe storage.

Scaremongering. Which products are affected then? I read the article and found no list.

Found it elsewhere
https://refsafety.beko.co.uk/
And the product I have listed isn't affected by the way.

Incidentally most big companies have had to recall products for fire safety concerns at some point. Would that stop you buying Dell, Sony, etc, etc.

I'm not denying that the appliance that caught fire was dangerous and caused a tragedy. What I'm saying is that the one I posted hasn't been recalled so isn't dangerous. I.e your comment is not relevant to the thread and to dismiss all Beko products because some were recalled for safety concerns (even though justifiably so) is short-sighted and smacks of brand snobbery.

How do you know it's not dangerous it took them 7 years and a death to issue that recall? I'm far from a brand snob but when a company blatantly ignores the safety of their customers it's worth highlighting.
