Beko Washing Machine WMB51021W Delivered for £138.95 (£134.79 with Quidco!)

For anyone looking for a cheap, basic machine PRC direct have the Beko WMB51021W washing machine for £134.79 delivered, if you use Quidco.

The usual price is £209 but is on special offer at £119. Delivery is an additional £19.95 bringing the price up to £138.95. However, you can get 3% cashback from Quidco, bringing the price down to £134.79.

An optional 5 year warranty can be had for an extra £118, which I think represents good value for money. Total cost after Quidco would be £249.25. If you assume the worst case scenario that the machine breaks down 5 years and a day after you bought it, it will only have cost you £49.85 per year, which I think is excellent. That's cheaper than renting a machine!

It's a basic machine, with only a 1000 spin speed/5kg load but is ideal for a rental property or those starting out.

Reviews are generally good, too!

A washing machine for 135 quid, this is crazy!
At this price HOT! I've got another Beko model (5120) and its been fine for over a year. It was Fridge/Freezers that had the "fire" issue

Just for fun I thought I'd work out the cost of detergent..

Aeriel Liquitabs are £4.05 a box, at Ocado:

ocado.com/web…r=y

This works out 37p per liquitab.

Assuming you are a family, use one liquitab per wash and you do one wash per day the total cost over the year will be: £135.05

In other words the detergent will cost MORE in the first year than the washing machine!! oO Staggering!

How long before they are giving the machines away with a years supply of Persil?!

Just flush your money down the drain, beko are rubbish, a year if your lucky, just spend a few quid more for a few more years with no hassle, and as for "it was the fridge freezers that had the fire problem" sorry, but what planet are you on, seriously, would you risk your life for a cheap appliance, get real osiris !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh! Some of these statements are becoming a bit libellous. I'd suggest not accusing a particular manufacturer of producing a 'life risking' appliance unless you have a link.

Pesronally, I have not seen ANY references to this machine being a hazard.

Like above can you provide one link to show that this model has had one instance of ever going on fire?? Any appliance from any brand has the potential to go on fire. If you are concerned about it buy a smoke detector and check the batteries every week.

OP this is a (sorry to use this word) smoking hot deal! good find.

LOL! Not literally...
I see the keyboard warriors are at it again. Great deal, Beko is a fine brand, same factories and Hotpoint and Indesit. Might not have all the bells and whistles but will be reasonably reliable if you don't abuse it and will get your clothes nice and clean.
I got 2 Beko appliances at home for the last 5 years and I can't fault them.I don't need a washing machine but I would buy if needed. And anything plugged can be a hazard.

Don't write often on here, but had to reply to the absolute tosh stated by carlos1985. We have Beko Washing Machine, Fridge/Freezer and Tumble Dyer. No problems with all 3 (2 are over 2 years old) - Just replaced a 9 year old Beko fridge/freezer with new model. I always take time to research appliances, and am happy to report that Beko have a growing reputation for reasonably priced, reliable appliances.
I had a similar model to this which lasted about 2.5 years...It wasn't an overused/ overloaded machine but started shorting out my electrics for no reason whatsoever. 3 electricians couldn't find the problem so I had to buy another, but have stuck to BEKO but got a 4 year warranty just in case (3 with BEKO + 1 with my credit card)
i got a nearly new beko washing machine given to me by my aunt that sadly passed away ,it had only been used a couple of times and when i installed it first day was fine we went shopping and left it on then two days later it caught fire from motor luckily we were in ,i really want everybody to know about this so with my permission please pass on ,i didnt know where she bought it from and got rid of my old beko that i had, ihave now bought a samsung eco (wife delighted) i have a photo of the burnt out motor if anyone is intrested i will post.please take the hint don`t waste your money ! safeguard your home and dont buy beko (does make you wonder what the hell trading standards are doing?)
Ugh beware the Beko brand!

Unsubstantiated rant! I don't know what your motive is but you're just plain wrong. Beko scores very well in Which? test too: better than many more expensive makes and up there with the likes of Bosch for reliability. Those are substantiated FACTS.

Oh and I just checked:

Did you refit the Transport Bolts before you moved it?
bought my sister a beko washing machine 4 years ago, cost about 170 quid, has been spot on,just a new door latch at 20 quid.its a gamble with washing machines, doesnt matter which brand it is,you can always get a bad one.heat added
My Beko washing machine lasted just 3 months. The bearings were knackered and the engineer advised us to avoid the brand as they were so cheaply made! Our previous machine lasted 6 years with just one fault.

i paid £180 for a cheap hotpoint which had the same comments on this site, i figured if it lasted a year then i'd be happy, its still working 2 and half years later and tbh i know it is borrowed time but it shows no sign of giving up just yet.
My (more expensive) Beko has an LCD display that I'd consider indispensible (shows how long is remaining, what stage it's up to, if the door's locked, what the temp is, what the spin speed is). This model sadly doesn't have that, so I wouldn't buy it myself. Still, as a small basic machine, the price is very good and I've had no trouble with my Beko (no fires before you ask).
Im not sure about the efficiency rating of this machine, but for £135 you cant really go wrong. For those people whose every penny counts its ideal ! Personally, I would stick with Indisit as my machine lasted 14 years, I sold it on working and bought a more energy efficient version! Take no notice of the stupid comments of it setting fire etc. Its a bargain, cheap, no frills, washing washing machine! Well done OP

Avoid Indesit, they are not made like they use to be............we returned ours last week, after 5 months of light use, the drum broke and smashed the concrete block on the underside of the machine, when the engineer came out, he shook his shoulders as if to say "not another one".

Luckily we had purchased it from Co-op who were very helpful and agreed to take it back for a full refund.

Of course, Which are not biased .....are they ??
I would avoid Beko as well. Bad quality; I wouldn't go out while the washing machine is in use. You get what you pay for.
I remember one of the appliance repair forums were slagging off Beko.

Then they introduced their own range of rebadged washers to be sold by their agents.

The cheaper unit? You guessed it, a rebadged Beko. I was banned from their forum for uncovering that little nugget lol.
I'd recommend against Beko washing machines too. We had one for just over a year - and the bearings went. I rang a repair chap, and he wouldn't even come to look at it - told me over the phone that it's all sealed in and it's cheaper to just buy a new machine. Sure, it's just my one-time experience, but for what it's worth, I'd recommend spending more for a better make (or at least one with a longer warranty!).
All I can say about my Beko washing machine, is it has lasted 5 months since new, and now has sprung a leak from the door seal. Not impressed, and over a week to wait for an engineer!

Pah the candy we are using is just one month shy of its 9th birthday, the only part needed replacing was the p[lastic door catch as it got caught when taking a sheet out and snapped, cost about £10, it gets hammered with at least two washes most days, now that is living on borrowed time, I have however got a spare motor/pump/filter/rubbers and electronic control panel from on that had had the door snapped off of it during a house move

Not bad. Voted HOT.
My Hotpoint machine broke down just 13 months after purchasing and that was a £300 washer so I'm definately considering this
I've had a beko washing machine for 2 years, fridge freezer for over a year and a tumble dryer I just purchased, I rate their products and would buy them again, they are such good value compared to other products and everything can break!
I paid about £150 15 months ago for my Beko 5101 washing machine. It's never given me a minutes grief. If I was looking for another, I would defiantly go for this offer - HOT!
