That is a fantastic price for a washing machine. The spin speed isnt too high, so the washing won't be horribly crumpled, but high enough to get the washing well spun. Decent load size, and excellent that it has a wash at under half an hour. I got my Whirlpool one via a deal on here, about five or six years ago, and it was £162 delivered. This even beats that.

Great deal.

It has decent reviews on Argos argos.co.uk/sta…htm

Yes 88% (4.4/5) from the people who matter - the ones that bought and use it!

My mum just bought this from Very last week for £239! It's getting delivered on Friday, I wonder if she can cancel and not lose any money...

Very sells the 1000 spin version. This spins 1100. Very is usually good with returns. She can call them up to cancel or just reject the delivery. Probably better to cancel by phone so she doesn't get charged for P&P.

Look at the second review (Dimples) for a start.

When you've done that Google 'Beko fires'.

Not saying this is good or bad either way, but the way the company deals with serious issues is worrying.
I wouldn't have anything made by them in my house.

the thing with argos reviews is people tend to give them not long after buying the product, i had a beko washer and at 13 months old it was knackered and in the skip

It's always best to buy a very cheap washing machine and take out a 5 year breakdown cover on it. It still works out under £300. You'll be surprised how good these cheap machines are. Hot for me!!

Good price

You should have contacted the retailer and asked them to repair, as 13 months is not a reasonable time for a washing machine to last. Just quote the sale of goods act (google it for further info).

Some people would rather moan than do anything about it.

NO thanks. A quick Google of "Beko Fires" will make your mind up. For those who can't be bothered looking, they don't make/sell "fires" they make kitchen appliance that CATCH FIRE, like in their 100,000's!

Used to be snobby towards this brand until we took a chance on one of ttheir dishwashers . Absolutely smashing machine; wouldn't have any qualms about buying this.

i did moan to the retailer and to beko neither wanted to take responsibility, after 2 weeks the retailer gave me credit towards a replacement and they didnt collect the knackered beko so i took it to the tip, simples

Wouldn't touch a Beko product with a bargepole. I bought a 'frost free' freezer from them, but it frosted up and turned off the cooling - causing all of my food to be ruined. They 'fixed' it once for no charge, but when it frosted up again (as it had not really been fixed) it was outside of the guarantee period and they weren't interested. I had to buy a new freezer in the end from a decent manufacturer. The beko freezer is now sitting in the garage gathering dust. Would never buy one of their products again.

If people can't be bothered to apply the Sale of Goods Act when any appliance breaks within four years of purpchase, then hell slap it into them. It's a legal act, and cannot be wormed out of.

I had a Beko cooker for ten years. I didnt much like it, but it did the job. I now have a Beko (second hand!) dishwasher. Not brilliant either, but fine for what i paid for it. No bother with either of them.

So... no washing machine, what's your point? This is a thread for a washing machine.

Anything that isn't an £800 Miele machine will get a low rating on there. I do use Which? sometimes, but really the results ARE skewed at times, by their members mainly buying expensive brands. However, the poor cotton cleaning IS a bit of a concern as they've clearly done a lab test on it.

Had a £150 Beko washing machine for maybe 8 years no, not a single problem.

Beware the Beko! Its cheap and cheerful for a good reason

So the people who own one and have never had a single problem (like the post immediately before yours) know less than you about it?

Last cheap Beko washer lasted 7 years....... so I bought another.

My house hasn't burnt down yet either.

I have a Beko condenser drier and a washing machine which I bought from Next. I have had them for more than 3 and a half years and have absolutely no problems or reason to complain. I got them as my old washing machine broke (and my drier wasn't sounding too healthy) just before the Christmas and everywhere I looked could not deliver for at least 4 weeks. Next delivered within a few days. I would not have chosen Beko if I had not been so desperate, but I have been surprised at how well they both perform. Heat added from me.

Had my beko for 8 years still going strong. .. would cost more than this call out charges for a repair so hot!

Ours has been fantastic !

Thanks for this.

I have had a Beko fridge freezer for years and it's been sound as a pound. Hasnt burst into flames yet! **prays to the sky** ! Go for it. Just avoid Hot point, Indosit and Electrolux as they really are awful and zero customer service.

I had a very bad experience with this washing machine. Bad customer service. No compensation as promised...

If you are going to start souring on about SOGA, you really need to be factual.
Unfortunately, you aren't, and are misleading people.

Thank you for posting - just ordered for my daughter - first flat.......

My mum's 2 year old Hotpoint washing machine caught fire....luckily she was home and saw it so no huge harm done, and Hotpoint rectified the fault. It can happen with ANY brand of electrical appliance which is why they should never be left unattended. I still buy Hotpoint....

Why is this a better deal than the Bush A127Q Washing Machine - White? Seems to be the same price but takes 7Kg load and has a high spin speed?
