BEKO WM74145W Washing Machine £179 @ Currys

Been looking at a cheap Washing Machine and this one seems to fit the bill.

A+++ rating, 1400 spin and lots of different programmes, that I will never use of course.

I know everyone will say, get a Bosch.... but I've had Bosch fail on me before and the rest of my kitchen is full of Beko and they seem to be still going.

Blurb from website.

Functional programs

A variety of programs including hand wash, shirts and sports will ensure your laundry is best cared for and efficiently cleaned.

When you're in a hurry take advantage of the quick wash settings which include the Daily Quick program to wash a full load of laundry in just 28 minutes, or the Super Quick program for a smaller 2 kg load washed in only 14 minutes.

Efficient washing

Rated A+++ for energy efficiency the WM74145W will help you cut down on your energy bills. When putting on a small or half load the WM74145W automatically reduces the water level, helping to prevent wastage.

Simple to operate with a clearly labelled dial and buttons, the digital display keeps you informed of how long the cycle has left. To take advantage of lower night time energy rates or to wash at a time that suits you, the time delay function lets you delay the wash by up to 19 hours.

Take the hassle out of laundry days with the Beko WM74145W Washing Machine.

I also have this machine. Bought a year ago for £207 (at Bargain Crazy) so this is a great deal.

No issues - very simple to use and the delay timer is great for washing at night when my electricity is cheaper.

I'd add that it's also extremely quiet. My mum was visiting the other day and she didn't even know it was on.

Heat - thanks OP

No negative comments? So safe to buy? :0

I have a Beko, it's below average in all regards. But if you need a cheap washing machine, like I did, it's okay. I would suggest holding on for a deal on a better brand.

I have been appliances they very good. washing machine. dryer. oven fridge freezer. hot

Beko used to be made in Turkey. Someone said now made in Italy - that correct ?

Really well reviewed washing machines on reevo. I got a similar one last year for the same price from Co-op Electrical, and it's quiet, economical, and no problems as of yet. I looked into this brand A LOT when researching, and it's very positively received.

The Story of Beko beko.com/wor…ko/ only talks about Turkey.

I have the cheapest Beko Washer and Fridge Freezer and 4 years later I have had no problems.

Bought one, cheap seems fine, I think Zanussi was quieter though.

I have the equivalent model from 2 years ago. As others have said quiet and does a good job.

We have had Bosch washing machines, latest being a Samsung ecobubble, never tempted with Beko as a washing machine - only ever had a Beko drier.
BUT - Cheap and cheerful. Does the job, no frills, has lasted well
My guess this will be along same lines

good deal, we have just bought a zanussi, everyone praises bosch but everyone forgets about all the dishwasher and washing machines that went on fire

I bought a Bosch freezer.
When it was installed, I saw it was made in Romania.
The guy who fitted my Beko dishwasher said that lots of well-known brands have BEKO and Chinese inside.
So much for the brands!

Have got a beko washing machine , condenser drier and electric oven after thoroughly researching reviews on revoo and "Which" tests. Touch wood still going strong 4 years later, so good luck, sounds like a good deal.

oO getting bought soon as I can get on currys site

You should have received an order acknowledgement within 5-10 mins of placing the order. Mine was instantaneous.
You can always ring them and check for peace of mind.

You'll then receive an email with order confirmation and delivery date and delivery reference number so you can track it.
I was given a 10AM-2PM timeslot yesterday morning. They also rang to give me a 10 minute warning.

Plumbing it in myself was no problem (£20!!!!.........yer right).
Just remember its got 4 restraining bolts (not 2) and use the hose that comes with it and not your old one.
Also ensure its completely level/ no wobbling before turning it on and give it an empty hot wash with a washing machine cleaning product (i.e. calgon, if you have it).
£180 well spent.

Why not use your old hose? Shouldn't be a problem, should it?

Exactly what I thought this time yesterday.
Seemed like a good idea to use the old (already connected to the water supply) hose.
The hoses and connections look identical and no wear on washer, yet old hose always leaked when connected to new machine (tried 5 times).
New hose put on (not even tighty) and no leak.

Online manual and forums advise you to always use the hose that comes with machine.
So I'd suggest trying old hose and it may work but don't panic if it doesn't.

Thanks, OP. Needed a cheap and cheerful washing machine and this should do the trick. Much appreciated.
