Care to explain why?

I have the same model in white. 1200 spin speed sometimes leaves washing wetter than would like but overall very pleased. Do most washes on daily 30 degree program with excellent results and takes just 40 minutes. Excellent price for a good machine. Heat Added.;)

I got the white version for 209 quid from Currys back in November and it's very good. 1000RPM spin speed leaves clothes a bit wet at the end, so what I'm tending to do is choose "Cottons", lower the temp to 40C, (you could pick 30C too, depending on the clothes), keep the spin speed at 1200RPM and then press "Quick Wash" (one of the four option buttons) - gives an overall time of 1 hour 6 mins and clothes come out damp rather than wet.

We have had this one (I think its this one... looks the same!!) for 18 months now... so much better than the Hot Point that we had before...

I bought a Beko WM5120S on-line with Tesco smaller drum size but with free delivery and free disposal of old washing machine.Good machine so far Heat added

£129 difference because of the colour? I rather a silver one.:p

Thats a bit rude....

£220 in Comet also. The 9Kg Drum version is knocking about for £270

I have this washing machine and I love it, best thing i've bought in ages.

This machine is made in Turkey, not that its no good. Lived there for 6 years and Beko is a massive white goods maker.

I bought the black one for £250 a couple of months ago from Tesco, posted the deal here. Excellent machine, have had no problems so far.

Bought this machine in nov for this price. v v good value. the main thing is...it gets clothes clean. which isn't always the case with some washing machines across the board!!
at this price, you don't worry how long it will last.

Got this machine in white from argos last week for £3 more it has now gone back up their to £299 waiting to have it delivered this wed.

Sorry, I'll be a bit more blunt next time. Don't be an apologist for trolls. This is an excellent site being spoiled by such nonsense.

+1. what on earth is the point, or indeed, helpfulness, of writing 'don't buy it'?

I 've had a beko 10 years 1412's in silver great washer had new brushes in motor 5 min job still going strong would buy a beko again no probs HOT

I have this machine, its great but if you do fill it to capacity, the clothes are still wettish after the spin,so what i tend to do is 1/2- 3/4 fill it, then there not so wet.

had one ten years HOT

Cheap but 1 year warranty says it all. Beko apparently the better of the cheaper brands these days

Not voted as I think cheap appliances are poor value in general over their lifetime and manufacturers will keep making them cheaper and cheaper until people wake up and demand some quality. In our throw away society that is unlikely to happen though i guess

Never quite understand why people post with "I have had this machine two weeks and no problems so far" - really - that is a plus point??? Surely that should be a given

On a side note, how does Beko brand compare with Indesit and Zanussi washing machines ?

In general, they seem to have better reviews, I would say that they are amongst the better of the lower cost brands.

I just checked out Washing Machines on Which Reports recently - and BEKO seems to be excellent value for money compared to Zanussi etc ( I've had 2 zanussi and am glad the latest one is finally dying tbh)
Top models I noted down are:
BEKO WM7335W @ around £210
BEKO WME7247S (silver?) @ around £240 and
BEKO WME7247W (white?) @ around £240..... this was supposed to be 1400 spin and 7kg load with AAB rating.
Cheapest Zanussi in their 'top' list was costing at least £350 (ZWF16581) up to nearly £500 for the ZW12125.

Best machines on there were Miele = cheapest was £655 up to £1000 !!!

It made very interesting reading, although it must be hard to keep up to date as manufacturers seem to be constantly updating their models.

I did check out the Panasonic which had some postings on HUKD last week, but I had to hunt around to find them.... and only got 2 out of 5 stars re noise, amongst other things.

p.s BEKO's were getting around the 72 and 73% scores.... same as the more expensive Zanussi and Hotpoint. Miele were getting 79%

p.p.s I was looking at freestanding as opposed to 'integrated' models..... so it would really be worth your while checking Which yourself dependent on what is important for you - Load, spin speed, noise, colour etc...

Looks like the Discount has ended...

Many thanks OP. Ordered one yesterday, will see if it lasts as long as our old indesit one. Talking to a guy who deals a lot with white goods and he says they all have a short life these days. If you get two to three years out of them its a bonus.

Out of cheap end brands like this yes - hence my point above

The manufacturers claims to 6/7 years lifespan is based on very low useage that maybe a single person might have but certainly not your average family with two kids say - thats the big issue

Really isn't difficult:

reviews.argos.co.uk/149…htm

Has that pointed you enough to satisfy you, or do you want personal correspondence from the person that wrote it and a copy of their receipt as proof they bought the machine?

i would be glad to but, unfortunately i couldn't make that information available to an under-age washing machine user. it would be irresponsible of me to try an enter into an adult conversation with the said, when they wouldn't have developed the necessary where-with-all to respond on a similar adult level....

Nope....those links are NOT from UKHD (as thats what Mr Tightpants was commenting on)...so your point is invalid.

Anyone can Google anything and get a link about anything....im sure one could even Google "skodas are proven to be the best car on the planet by far" and some numpty will have posted it (possibly under the influence of drink/drugs at the time)

Did he mention that the comments were from this forum....no didn't think so...once again you just assumed.

Anyone can also post flase info on the internet too. Such as what car you drive for example....Well some people can't post on the megs forum though eh?

Perhaps you can slate other peoples post when you can stand in the mirror and face the truth....Until then you carry on kidding yourself, trolling on this forum like a stuck record.
