Buy cheap, buy twice.

I'll advise Beko to increase the price to £1000, I am sure you will be well impressed and buy a few. What a plonker!

I've had the previous model to this for over two years and it's never missed a beat along with my other Beko products in my home. Heat to OP.

Why do folk think that paying loads of money for a washing machine, fridge, freezer, etc. will guarantee longevity?
I am now well over 60 years old, so have loads of experience of buying stuff like this. I have never had any of these types of appliances fail on me, and I always buy the cheapest I can get. Buy from John Lewis if you can with a price match, and you will get an extra year warranty. I generally change my washing machine when it becomes dated and inefficient, never when it expires.
cold from me,

bought ones before and broke just out of warranty and the motor died. Would have cost me more for a new motor than buying another machine..... yeah cheers

Washing machines generally get filled full not per Kg per wash, I wash small loads every/other day because filling it full and overloaded causes wear and tear. Stick to the recommended Kg per wash cycle and all stays well with most machines, as I said I underload by doing washes nearly every day so I never overfill then add more weight with water.

It is the best advice any machine user can get, underload per cycle.

Also keep a copy of the max loads out of the manual of cycles handy nearby.

You're missing the point. How ironic.

Because Beko appliances aren't built to last. It's planned obsolescence.

I always do. Doesn't mean a £200 Beko will do well.

But most don't. People say the same about Hotpoint, had mine for almost 2 and a half years so £10 a month and not one problem to date

Like most brands, the more they sell the more they earn. It's never about customers or brands would not exist.
These are great machines. Had 2 expensive zanussi machines fail just out of warranty. Decided to buy beko as they had good online customer reviews. Our machine must be around five years old now and still runs and looks like new. I would definitely buy another when it finally fails
Great washing machine if budget is limited
Mine is hot point washing machine & i would say its crap , gives big noise while washing
Look like a beast in forest
I'm tempted, heard good things surprisingly about Beko washing machines.
Followed link and it`s £279.

Yeh others have had countless problems with them.
I'm another very happy Beko washing machine owner. My 6 year old machine gets used regularly and still runs like new.

When is does eventually fail, I will happilly buy another Beko.
Nothing is made to last anymore and it's getting more expensive to repair if you can even find a repair man. Welcome to capitalism ... Cheap enough to throw away and buy another

Beko are good mid-priced machines.

Far better than getting an equivalently priced Hotpoint that'll probably blow up.

Not everyone has the money to buy a Miele or Bosch.

I have had nothing but bad luck with Beko products....

2 x failed fridge/freezers
1 x failed washing machine
1 x tumble dryer bursting into flames!
I have a beko washing machine for over 3 years now.. Still works perfectly.. Just need to clean the detergent housing and inside bit with a brush once in a while and its all good
I have this model, bought it 2nd hand on eBay for £20 and no problems so far.
I bought Beko because we had 2 of them at work. Just consumer models but get used in an industrial application cleaning huge pieces of fabric.
Generally the work ones would average 2 washes per day and would be overloaded on most washes. One machine is about 6 years old and the other about 2 years old, neither have ever had any maintenance or any issues.
I personally wouldn't buy Beko. They are one of the few brands that fire services in the UK have actively warned against buying.

...Or if you just don't want to pay a lot for a washing machine. I have a Beko washing machine and surprise surprise, it washes our clothes just as well as any of the more expensive washing machines we have owned over the last 30 years.

That warning was from 6 years ago and to do with some older models of Beko fridge freezers that had to have a faulty defrost timer switch replaced. Personally, since the more recent recall and replacement of thousands of Hotpoint tumble dryers (including mine) identified as a fire risk and the recent tragedy of Grenfell tower, I would be more worried about buying a Hotpoint myself.

Good point. Hotpoint too then. Hopefully you don't have to pay Miele or AEG prices to get quality.

Miele yes. AEG no - they've been owned by Electrolux since 2005 and have gone downhill dramatically.

Buy expensive, buy twice, these days, sealed drums which need to be replaced @ (£240 part alone) because of an inaccessible £10 bearing which goes within 3 years, main boards that die within 2 years - Bosch, Samsung etc.
