Great price - heated
BEKO: best budget brand.
With the current deal on ebay this can be had for the above price but an LG 7kg with the 20% off can be bought for £259. My question is to the knowledgeable people on here .....Is it worth paying the extra for the LG in the long run ?

Bought a Beko similar to this, cant wait for it to break, its useless.
If your thinking of buying one, i wouldnt!
If someone wants mine for £100, collection from York, its yours!

The start button often takes pressing twice, drives me mad
As far as cheap machines go I'd recommend it. Spin is very loud, Seems to be common thing on Beko washing machines these days.

Expect 3-4 years before you get any real problems like bearings etc.. Better that any Hotpoint/Indesit crap.

My mum, MIL and grandad have Beko and they have all been fine baring loud spin.

Expect the LG to last twice as long.

Do you have a link for the LG?

Asking too much for a used one, they usually go around £50

LG are well built but tend to suffer issues with the motor over time, normally with the Hall sensor. This is covered by their warranty but it often takes several weeks for them to repair, which isn't doable for most families.

Parts are also more difficult to get hold off when things do go wrong.

My recommendations (used to work as an engineer) are

Budget: Beko.
Mid range: Bosch
Money no object: Miele
I purchased a lot of Beko White goods back in 2006 (oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, tumble dryer and washing machine) and all of them are still going strong.

The only issue that I have had was with the tumble dryer where an item of clothing got trapped between the seal and drum which resulted in a broken belt which took me about 10 minutes and a few quid to replace.
Heat. Bought this last month for £199, happy so far.
Made in turkey and have a habit of getting very hot, not for me, stick to German stuff
How long is the 40 degree wash on this? I have an older Beko (7 years old) and it takes 3 1/2 hours for the medium wash. I can’t take it any more.
Would 1200 spin be enough? I have an ancient whirlpool washer that is supposed to be 1200, but clothes come out quite wet. It started leaking last month and needs to be replaced.

What you're trying to say is:
This washing machine will be much cheaper in long term than Samsung/Bosch/Miele super Hiper Eco bubble.

Replacing it every 3 years will cost £159 x 3

If each one of this washing machines will last at least 3years than for £477 you're sorted for the next 10 years (almost).

I really doubt any branded washing machine for less than £500 will last that long without any repairs.

I've dishwasher (ex display) and American fridge freezer(new) from Beko.
Both just over 3 years old, both still running.

Fridge cost me just over £400 (vouchers etc..) while any "well known brand" was about £750 at the time.

You meant German design, made in Malaysia, Czech Republic or India?

I'm just doing research about this.

It seems to be common to take from 200 up to 300 minutes for Eco wash on any washing machine.

Candy bianca (9kg) 250min
Bosch series 6 (9kg) (cheaper one) 275min
More expensive bosch (9kg) 240 min
My built in Hoover (8kg) about 250

But some of them have an option to reduce the time I think?

Yes, they so have such a option but than the washing process is not up to spec.

To other way.
To achieve A rated wash, as on EU fiche you need to run specific wash cycle, which usually is called "Eco".
