I bought the 2 seater version back in December and it's only just being delivered next week! I would never ever ever recommend Harvey's to anyone. Ever. Their customer service is non existent. Steer well clear!

Waste of money. I bought a 3 and 2 seater and a rocker. The recliners are pants. The rock from side to side, creak and generally feel like they are falling apart. I have had someone out twice to the 3 seater and still no better. The rocker is fantastic, but the padding isn't very good. I only got mine a year ago and already thinking of buying a new set. Will never use Harveys again.

Also had a bad experience with Harveys. The arm in one of the chairs bent in and Harveys would do nothing about it. When we took the chair apart to take to the tip, we found the arms were made of cardboard!!!!!!! No wonder they bent, paid over £1k for our 3 piece, not worth it at all

They are good

What is it with sofa companies?

A lot of them are total pants, wait 6 months for a sofa, when it comes it is damaged or the wrong colour etc. Customer service from most is crap.

Surely when someone orders a sofa they order one because they need it basically there and then, why does it take months and months to get one? How long does it take to make a blumming sofa these days?

I put them up there with bankers and insurance companies as one of my all time hates!

Sorry have to agree these are awful I'm currently waiting for mine to be collected for a full refund as coating has come of the each cushion only 12 weeks old! A complete rip off!! Waited 4 months for delivery and no I gotta reorder another one but defo not from Harvey's!! I have argued and argued for my refund! Just awful customer service and terrible products! Never again!!!

I will Definetly Agree, the seats went on our Sofas, would never buy from them again ;-@

Got this last year for £299, this is a very good sofa for the money! Hot!

anyone had any experience of Argos sofas or DFS sofas. Any good?

I took delivery of a DFS sofa recently (3-4 weeks for delivery as they advised to be initially in-store). the sofa itself is very comfy and feels sturdy, though I've only had it 3 weeks so far. the delivery guys for DFS Sheffield were very helpful and very professional - they seemed to actually want to do their job which seems to vary in the delivery business.

We've still got our dfs leather sofas 6 years on. I have to say they were brilliant with us and even gave us a sofa whilst we were waiting for ours to arrive as I was pregnant at the time. Not dealt with Harvey's before and probably won't by these comments!

Worst company ever, please read reviews before buying anything from,

awful company. customer service is appalling, products overpriced and of low quality.

Dont buy a fake leather sofa and then complain of poor quality! Go to a sofa specialist and pay a little more for quality

I also got this last year for £299. Got the the 2 seater, 1 seater rocker and big footstool with 5 year warranty for £1100. Delivered within 4 days. No issues at all

Only decent customer service experienced has been with DFS. CSL are as bad as Harvey's - offered to swap our cushions in the shop on delivery denied all knowledge and CS are a joke.

Got 2 of the 3 seater sofas last year no problems really nice, we do put a cover on the seat part but that is because we have 3 dogs which like to do chase over them, perhaps the new one arent quite as good?

We got this as a 3 piece 2 years ago. Delivery took 3 months, was quoted 6 weeks. Apart from delivery everything else has been spot on. Sofa itself is good quality, sturdy and comfortable. It breaks apart into loads of pieces so is good for moving. Recliner was a bit stiff at first to put down, but it loosens up after a while. Everyone that visits compliments it. So yeah 3piece is good. Service was good. Delivery, well it was worth waiting for.

You get what you pay for! if its looks too good to be true Guess what IT IS!

I bought this exact sofa just 2 years ago. Very comfortable but stitching has come away on the seats - already had Harvey's come out & stitch it once, no problem but got to call them out again & check if still in warranty. Does feel a bit unstable & plasticky underneath the recliner bit but can't deny it's the most comfy sofa I've had. Even had guests sleep on it.

I've had the 2 seater version for well over a year and it's been fine and is very comfortable. Only experience with the customer service I've had is when I first ordered and I wanted to change the colour, which they did without issue.

It say £299. Anyway

Yeah you should fit that on the bus no problem.

You've missed out estate agents.

Kings Furniture Warehouse

They deliver to the following areas,

Bolton
Swinton
Leigh
Chorley
Wigan
Bury
Preston
Salford
Manchester

I use this company and have saved loads. Basically if you know the shop/retailer name and the product details, they always beat the price and they order directly from the manufacturer. They deliver and install for free, but can take a few days depending where the product is being made, normally majority is made in Germany. Never bought from a retailer/shop again.

we purchased this sofa in 2009 lasted 2 years paid more than this very poor

faux don't bother...:D

To all these bad reviews Complain to the furniture ombudsman Yes there is such a thing My faux leather sofa began to peel on only one cushion a after almost 2yrs Tesco offered a £40 voucher Complained to Furniture Ombudsman Tesco gave a full refund for both sofas (only one of which developed the fault) and I've still got the sofas with a throw over

Yes DFS sold me white leather coated corner suite for £750 in there forever wonderful constant sale's...frame broke after 3 months, then "leather" started to peel...
Told them unless they come and pick up the rubbish they sold me,
I will be delivering back to store myself !
Was told it was Italian real leather
So now have nice french £3k one of ebay and won it for £120

We bought 2 of these sofas before Christmas in their sale. Excellent value for money and very comfy. Delivered within 5 days.

we bought the bel air 2 & 3 seaters last summer- they are RUBBISH! I now am battling with harveys who wont accept responsibility. the upper layer of material has come away from the layer beneath and we now have sofas with what looks like rips on them! also the seats are sunken (we are both of average weight!!) . someone did come to examine them, reporting it as customer misuse! rubbish! we have no children who live at home any more and we both work full time so the sofas are only used in the evenings. the customer service is APPALLING and the staff are rude and cheeky. I would highly recommend that everyone steers well clear of harveys!! oh, and we had a 14 week wait for delivery!

Bought our leather suite from Harvey's just over 9 years ago, and it's still in excellent condition. We are looking for another, just because we've had it for so long. I can't fault Harvey's on our experience, unless they've deteriorated!!

I suppose you could be unlucky buying from any company.

This looks a good deal, although not for us. It has many good reviews.

Once u get him to say that on the report your sorted!! Just be honest with engineer and ask if he can put it down as that!! I did chase chase and chase! Plus letters etc! But got there in the end!! Good luck!

Forgot to say too I went into Facebook page! They hated it! Start messaging them on there and commenting on their posts!! Just don't make their life easy!

Having worked at Harvey's in the past, its a company to avoid. There were always complaints, build quality is not good, even management wouldn't buy from them. Fraud was a big issue, every so often customer service agents would be sacked cos they stole the customers credit card or bank details. Take it from me one company to avoid.

Dfs sofas bloody brilliant

Thank you so much for your replies. It does sound as though we're experiencing the exact same problem as you did. The brown upper surface of the material has come away, leaving it looking like it's ripped, with the black mesh sort of stuff showing underneath. I'll keep on emailing, writing, etc to them. I did get one reply to one of my emails which was last week and was the day after Harveys had been slated on the BBC1 programme, 'Don't get done, get Dom'. There were certainly some bad things said on there about them. I thought it strange that my one and only reply came after showing that programme. Anyway, they've offered a different engineer to come and inspect the sofas, which I've accepted, and I'll certainly do what you advise and tell the engineer that it is a manufacturing fault! Thanks for the advice. I'll also go onto their Facebook page, I hadn't thought of doing that. I have posted a couple of bad reviews onto other websites about their furniture and their appalling customer service. Again, many thanks and fingers crossed I'll get the same result as you did! Cheers.
