Hot from me.

Why would anyone bother to 'fake' a deal for a radiator and then spend the time adding all the info. A lot of very bitter and cynical people out there.

Good price but always concerned about the efficiency of these.

Beware the buffoons professing 100 % efficiency.

All electric heaters are pretty much 100% efficient, ie 100% of the energy put in comes out as heat. where else would the energy be being lost? Light? noise?

cost of operation though can be high if used all the time, compared to gas or oil heating.

29.99 in my store...

way-hay! vote hot for the guy that got a radiator for a fiver in Northfield

They are equally as efficient as any other electric radiator.

Just go off the basic principle that energy will always gets used in some way. If the thing is question produces no sound, light, motion or other form of energy, it just produces heat, then it is virtually 100% efficient.

This provides a non-directional heat best for heating a full room, fan/halogen heaters are better at heating a certain spot.

When people say are they 100% efficient, i.e electricity to heat which is correct, what they really mean is thermal efficiency.
In other words not how much heat is generated but how it gets into the air as efficiently as possible for instance the surface area of the radiator, whether it has fins or a fan, see.

For you doubters out there....

Costs about 12.5p an hour to run x

Picked one up from Bristol (Union St Branch), they had 2 more and 5 mini ones (700w version) for the same price.

Thanks for uploading the receipt - that should shut the doubters up. (_;)

Have some heat.

I saw these at Wilkinson's in Broadmarsh, Nottingham today! What a bargain, they had all the fan heaters there too for £5, great deal

This is precisely why I hate posting on this site, so many negative people out there who doubt everything being said. Good find & post, heat added!

Agreed. I find it best to ignore them, perhaps then they will spend less time typing demands like "PROOF?" and more time contributing deals. If someone doesn't believe a deal that I submit then that is 100% their problem.

got this one and the mini one £5 at my local maesteg bargain !!

Checking my local on tomorrow cheers

wow good price...

Cold because it's not turned on

You have a good energy supplier.

hot if true and nationwide.. but lets call a spade a spade, it never was worth 60 pounds.. in addition you can buy 2000w one's from cpc for about 15 quid

It's more than that. It'll use 1.5kW (1.5 Units) per hour of electricity, so it depends on what Tariff you're on. Some of them are 16p per Unit, which would make this 24p an hour to run!

It won't cost as much as that to run, as it spends much of its time with the element switched off once the room is up tothe right kind of temperature.

Been running something similar to this in a 4mx4m room to dry some paint, very cold external walls and it's been a cold week, but even this underpowered heater wasn't burning electricity all the time.

I don't see any at cpc for that price. Do you have a link?

great, just ordered 2 from store in Canterbury...last 2 though. My heating went last night and kids didn't want to get out of bed as sooo cold. 1 in each bedroom till plumber comes Monday to take the chill off. Many thanks UkMark123.

Thanks for taking time to post this deal OP. Don't let the doubters get to you with their negative comments.

I bought the last mini (700watt) one from Leek it's under my desk as I type this and the thermostat is working nicely. No more cold toes.

There were other £5 heaters still in stock at Leek including
Beldray 450W Mini Convector Heater

Beldray PTC 1500 Watt Ceramic Heater With Handle
