Not too bad for an instore price.
Can be bettered by ebay, dealextreme, best offer buy, etc.; but a good price none the less.

I did look there the other day. Our store (which is quite a big one, as Poundlands go) didn't have any :-(

Ok... here we go... and wait for the deluge of abuse... I've compared a number of hdmi leads on my Pioneer Kuro 5090 (no ol' rubbish - regarded as just about the best panel you can get) and I can categorically state that hdmi leads are not all the same: you get what you pay for. I've A/B'd cheap ones for £1 and decent ones of different makes, and I reckon that if you buy a QED (you can get one discounted for around £25-30, and some AV mags even give them away with subscriptions) you'll get a better picture than with something costing £1. In my experience, the hdmi lead SKY supply with their HD box is nfg, yet the one that was supplied with the 360 isn't bad, but not great. If you have SKY HD, you'll definitely get a sharper pic and brighter colours with a better lead. I've tested it myself extensively with a number of leads on SKY HD, HD-DVDs on a Toshiba XE1, DVDs on a Denon 1940, Blu Rays and games on a PS3, and a 360 - through an Onkyo 606 amp. There's no point spending hundreds/thousands on AV gear and not using decent connectors, or your system will be reduced to the quality of its weakest link. The accepted wisdom on HDUK seems to be that all hdmi cables are the same 'cos they're digital; take it from me - they're not.
There... I've gone and done it, 'cos I'm fed up with reading a lot of misinformation about hdmi leads on here. Hope this helps any interested parties.

its a point of view
maybe the 0 and 1s come through diffrent with a dearer cable

Problem with this sort of thing is it is pointless. Everyone is an expert with HDMI. If your not paying £2 from asda your getting ripped off. The 1's and 0's are easy to comprehend you see so people think they are experts.

I doubt anyone will be able to tell the difference between a component cable and a HDMI cable let alone different HDMI cables themselves. Damn sometimes I doubt they would tell the difference between a good standard def picture and a Sky HD picture on the size of set these experts are all watching on.

Its a fruitless and pointless argument. Nearly as fruitless as trying to tell people its fruitless.

All I can say is: if my experience can help someone, then great. In that regard, it's not a pointless exercise. I'm no expert, but I've done a lot of comparisons and I'm just reporting what I've seen. Sure, if you've got a no-name brand tiny LCD then maybe the difference won't be so pronounced. However, it's a fact of AV life that good interconnects do help.

On here, it is pointless believe me.

I'm one in the "cheaper is better" camp. They're all the same. You don't see people going quality mad over DVI cables, and that's because there's no difference in quality. HDMI's video is served up using the same signals that have been used for DVI for years. If *anything* you'd more likely be able to hear a difference in the sound, but everyone tends to bleat on about the visuals.

Buy as cheap as you can find and use the money you saved for a couple of pints down the pub.

This Belkin seems like a good comprimise if you can't make your mind up on the cheap Vs expensive debate..

It's made by a well known manufacturer and the price is pretty cheap so its the best of both worlds.

Personally, I just use a cheap lead that came from 7dayshop or somewhere. The picture it gives with my PS3 is great so even if a £50 cable can give me a few more extra minor details that i'd never notice, it's just not worth the extra cash imo.
