Belkin 2.1 amp universal charger. Was £23.00 and now £2.93. Not sure if this is local or national but I spotted this at Tesco Buckshaw earlier today. Works great with high wattage tablets like ipads.

This is on for £2 at new life home store

2A means it should be good for tablets and bigger smartphones .

What isn't made in China? And enjoy your fake eBay charger when it explodes!

Yes, be careful on the cheap copies.
I had a griffin one that turned out to be a fake and it fried my gps charging circuit

Well said, moneybag. Never ceases to amaze me some folks will do anything for a cheap bargain when it comes power supplies. Even though it's low power, it's still electricity you dealing with.

Just a matter of time until they regret it. You would think folks know how much is their own expensive gear is worth then to go cheap on the charger.

Nothing wrong with genuine Belkin stuff, it's the fake Belkin ones that you need to worry about unknowingly bought.

As people been people are lazy I thought I'll add a few worthy reads. Would remind you to be on your guard, might save your life + others one day.

Sad to say, I know it's not nice but I'll carry on awaiting until another fellow HUKD member death by fake charger news headline. That way I'll get to read what fake brand is trending so I try to live longer on the misfortunes of others.

Human rights?

I usually get Aulola 2.4A chargers from eBay, had one blow up yesterday though

I bought a laptop battery of eBay once. Worked fine for a few months then randomly caught fire and almost burnt through my brother's leg. He was quick enough to take the battery out.

Not worth it.

I brought fireworks from eBay once....they exploded too.

Only if you can find one - The white 2.1A ones with cable are scanning at £20 here in Bracknell and Sandhurst.

And you expect to have these in Britain after the Tories have now been voted in ? Get over it, everything is made in China ...

I've had this charger for a few months. No pyrotechnics so far.

Really good deal!

Do not buy. At even this price. I had 2 which used to constantly buzz when in use, one burnt out the other I binned. Belkin just a brand name to sucker us folks.
