I've just realised that this router must be connected to a computer via an ethernet cable.

Is it true that it will not work if not wired to a computer all the time? Does anyone has any experiance with it?

I've already ordered 2 of these but if it must be connected to a computer to work, it's no good to me :-(

Edit: Just confirmed with 7dayshop customer Services. According to them, it doesn't necessarily be connected to a PC.

Ive ordered one as the one I have at the mo has started to have a problem with syn packets. £15 seems a good price to me

The box certainly doesn't NEED a hard-wired Ethernet connected PC to work, however as with ANY such box if/when you are initially setting it up, and then making certain changes - eg updating firmware OR amending online security settings you would be SO ASKING FOR TROUBLE, POTENTIALLY BIG TROUBLE to do it via a WiFi connection - ie for a few minutes get a wire out!

Great box BTW - I used one for a few years and excellent modem performance.
That said the latest/best firmware is only 'pre-release' but worked fine on my model.
