Great price - ordered

(FWIW - Delivery is 98p, so total cost is £10.97)

Great post but chunk plugs leave half of the sockets unusable. It's high time plugs were standardized so sockets could be as well!

Thanks! Have updated the description to reflect delivery.

Good reviews on Amazon: amazon.co.uk/gp/…sim (With thanks to Lugys3 for the comment/link on a duplicate thread for this deal )

Tempted to grab a couple but those pesky adaptors where the cord comes out of the wrong end would cause problems.

I have used 2 of these for a year and no problems yet.

Some of the other Belkin models have 2 sockets which rotate to avoid that problem.

Ordered! Nice one Op... I'm too lazy to switch off the TV at the mains, so this is perfect!

Terrible unit - the 6 on/off sockets failed on mine within 2 months of use for no good reason. Reset did not resolve. I gather this is a common fault - good price if this was ever fixed but I somehow doubt it.

You should also note that the warranty small print on this unit does not cover acts of god - so if lightning does hit and the surge fails you are screwed. Makes it completely worthless unlike older Belkin power surge units. You also have to pay outright to post back to them - Belkin really gone downhill in this product area IMO.

Mods - can this be unexpired? Seems to be they are taking orders again with a 1-2 day lead time with over 200 units available.

We got a couple of them at work and the wireless part is so unreliable it's almost useless and we've stopped using one of them because the wireless switched sockets just don't power any more.

Thanks ordered for when they get stock

be careful with those ir plugs.
only had my television for 2 years and some resistors and capacitors blow last month.
i think its due to the way the plug cuts and starts the power to the tv, creating a surge.

maybe not, but for safety sake, i use my surround box as the main plug now and have the tv in the always on (always on standby)

Prove there is a god??? therefore
its just adverse weather and the unit did not do what it said on the tin :-)

Nice idea but don't new electrical goods have to consume 1w or less when in standby due to EU legislation or suchlike?

Also, if I used this with a Humax PVR would I have to re-tune and re-select what to record due to the loss of power?

My IR plug is connected to a surge protected extension lead and the TV plugs into that.

I've had no problems so far...

Got a few of these when eon were giving them away. They sense when the master sockets current draw drops and turns the sockets off. Great for TV, rather than staying in standby it turns it completely off.

I have a samsung 8000 series and i remember reading it is better to leave on standby - can anyone tell me why?

Great deal. Heat added.

Thanks for this, Bought 2 and most of work buying a few also! Many Thanks

Thanks op arrived today in the worlds biggest box

I need a surge cable about 4m minimum anyone know a good deal?

Have one of these for about 2 years now.
As others have said the switched sockets have failed. Belkin web site is amazingly poor trying to claim warranty repair.

arrived today. box was massive :O

Tell me about it! Collected mine from the sorting office and had to carry mine on a packed train to work and back again! Not fun!!

Anyone know whether you can use two of these in a house without them interfering with both power supplies?
